Hey, we're all Pittsburghians now. As I said in another post, we need t-shirts.

He also mentioned his Dad still wears his Duquesne Varsity Sweater with the Big D on it. Colony on 93.7 this morning suggested that Dambrot buck the trend of coaches dressing like they stepped out of GQ and start wearing the old Varsity Letter Sweater on the sidelines. He said its too big for him since he got his mother's genes and his dad's sweater would be too large! But he liked that Colony was thinking "outside the box" and offered him a job, in jest of course; but I like the fact that he is willing to think outside the box, and made it clear that he is willing and able to win any number of ways depending upon the talent at hand. I was very impressed with the interview this morning, very confident guy, knows he can win, but at the same time understands that it will take some time to build it to that point. He mentioned again, as he did last night that he feels that he can do a lot with the talent at hand, although they are thin up front, and if all those guys leave it will be rough the first year. He does like to recruit freshmen rather than transfers, but everyone knows that freshmen don't win at this level; so much depends on the returning players.

Just listened to the 93.7 Morning Show interview with Coach. We are so lucky and blessed to have him. He seems to already have a strong grasp on the team's strengths and weaknesses. Wow! I will gladly be a Pittsburghian Duquesner with Keith Dambrot as our leader!

Anyone ever heard of Distinguished Ruffians? Well..how about we become the Distinguished Bluffians?

The word distinguished won't work if you include me. ![]()
Just listened to the interview. It is amazing what some optimism and a "we will do it" attitude brings to the table. So impressed.
Harper and The Pres aren't jokers.
It is just so refreshing not to hear 5 year plan or 10 year plan. I know success won't be overnight but I have never been more confident that it is in DUs future.
I'm the joker for doubting them.
Are their bios on the assistant coaches yet?

When Dambrot was hired the assistants he had were on the roster page. When I came home last night they were no longer on there. When the assistants were on there, they had no pictures or bios. Dambrot had both.

He said something about the assistants still being under contract to Akron for now last night.

At the Press conference Dambrot said that technically his assistants were still employed by Akron and he couldn't bring them up.
