Jordan Robinson

With the talk about players who are leaving let's talk about one who is staying.

By all indications Jordan Robinson will be a Duke next year and I'm really looking forward to seeing what he can do.

If I recall correctly, he was pretty highly recruited out of high school and it seems to me he never got a really good opportunity under Jim Ferry.  Supposedly because of defensive inadequacies.  The problem is, Jim Ferry didn't teach JRob or anybody how to play effective defense.

With Keith Dambrot as his coach Robinson is a player getting a fresh start in a new system without having to transfer.  He could thrive under the new coaching staff and if he does we could have a surprisingly good season even without the guys who don't want to be here.

Re: Jordan Robinson

I wouldn't be surprised if JRobinson flourishes under Coach D.  He will be the go to big man with Sanders leaving and I have always thought that he could be a very good player with proper coaching--which he will now receive.  He is far better than Sanders offensively and doesn't foul nearly as much.

Sanders, I'm afraid, is making a mistake but he should do what he thinks is best for him.

I agree, Professor. Sanders could flourish in a Dambrot system. Too bad somebody is in his ear. I would be very surprised if he lands at a higher program/conference. But I wish Nakye best wishes and success.

Re: Jordan Robinson

The two Canadians Ferry brought in were to be the inside answer to our small team, one failed and JRob fell out of favor with coaches.

I think the better one stayed and have hopes for him , as far as Sanders if he was going to be such a good player, with all his NYC exposure Duquesne would not have had a chance to sign him.

Perhaps WAGNER or such can sign him and let him start.

Add the newcomers to JRob, James and the starting back court and let Coach  D loose on them with his 1000 plays and defense, and start the journey up.....

PS. Not referring to I Mike, wish he had seen the vision we see..
