Who is actually signed ?

I see a lot of conversation about perspective recruits and transfers, but have we actually signed anyone? And as far as the transfers, we will not know they're definitely in until summer school and they are enrolled, correct ? This is very interesting reading, but it seems like a lot of speculation. Please do not go by highlight videos, everyone looks good in them.

I also can not figure out why there is no interest in Andrew Petcash, I have refereed him on several occasions the past three years, he is 6' 4" point guard / shooting guard from a winning program. Maybe that can start the pipeline of local players, Carmody and Short the following year. The last player I recommend to the coaching staff was a kid out of eastern Pa his name was Cohen. While I officiated his game we talked, I asked him who was looking at him, mainly patriot league, I asked if he would consider Duquesne, he stated he would love it. I contacted R E who I knew,  Ron stated he was not his kind of player. Needles to say he got an offer from Davidson and was the Southern Conference player of the year for his last two years.

If that's true, RE made a huge mistake. As for Petcash, we have enough guards now. We need some bigs in a bad way.

Re: Who is actually signed ?

If that's true, are you insinuating I am not telling the truth ? Last time I made a post, and stated this is the perfect time for the Dukes to make a move with Pitt falling apart and programs like Dayton, VCU and UMASS will probably be looking for coaches. Your reply was, that would be terrible because they would take coaches that we wanted. You could not have been more wrong. We never would have gone after any of their hires. By the way which guards are signed as of this date ?  Or who is signed and or accepted to DU as of now ?

I'm very happy with Dambrot, but I'd have been very happy with Anthony Grant as well as they guy VCU hired. As for the "if this is true" qualifier, I don't know you. Anyone can come on here and state anything. You took a dig at Ron, I don't have to accept it as gospel.

Re: Who is actually signed ?

No dig at RE, just the truth. I really doubt Grant being a former VCU coach and Dayton player and Roades a head coach at Rice and former VCU assistant would have ever been on our radar or considered coaching the Dukes. Therefore they were not in the pool of coaches we had to chose from. McCall at UMASS has never coached his own recruiting class as a head coach as of yet. I as well as the next person is very pleased with whom we selected as coach. He is an experienced winner that has coached his own recruits. I hope he can turn this thing around and I will be patient as everyone should be until he gets to years three four and five.

Re: Who is actually signed ?

Of equal importance is the new president, Gormley and the Harper, the AD.
How times in the last thirty plus years, did the president run onto the court?  I know
Pitt wins are rare, but, still, for the president to storm the court? Also, his picture of him
cheering the women?
As for Harper, he was a vision and plan.  He made it clear that the rebuild of MBB is a two step process. First, middle of the conference then top four. He also has taken on the considerable challenge to raise money refurbish Palumbo.  Ever hear Amodio or Colleary have plans or visions?
As for KD, I think only, on paper at least, that Satalin and Nee had comparable records.
For me, KD is great if only because he stresses defense, efficient offenses and rebounding. I don't hear or read any of the usual crap about uptempo offenses or pressure defenses.
