Agreed. Unless people have seen more than a 65 second highlight reel, I don't want to hear their scouting report.

Agreed. Any comments I make on recruits are based on video and/or stats. Based on the very limited amount of info we have to go on with Washington, I was not impressed by his offensive output. Nothing personal.

I don't see a need to even apologize. Everything you said was spot on. If you don't like the prospect, voice your opinion. It's what this is here for. Doesn't mean your questioning the staff. When recruiting you have primary targets, backup plans, and safety picks. If you feel someone falls in any of these categories you shouldn't feel apprehensive to express that.

I personally thought Colon would have been a disastrous pickup. Small, not especially talented, and average all around. He was a clearly an absolute emergency option. If you like something, say it. If you don't like something, say it. Someone posted it the other day but the only thing I don't want to see/read are personal attacks.

If you know that much about basketball that you can watch a couple minutes of edited video and have an opinion, then God bless you 102. I'd guess Coach Dambrot makes more of an investment into his decisions, though.

If we can't discuss whether we feel a prospect is worth an offer, then what is the point of the message board?  

As for people making their opinion known about Washington, it wasn't all based upon a video clip.  In fact, I don't think one even exists of Washington.  I went through and clicked on the stat sheets from previous games to see how many points Robinson had scored.  Perhaps Robinson is a rebounding machine, but if the amount of points scored isn't a decent  barometer of talent, then perhaps the media world needs to change the way they view the game of basketball.  There's a reason Michael Jordan was more valued than Dennis Rodman.  

Also, I think almost everyone who made a comment made the disclaimer that we trusted coach to make the right move.

Didn't say that. What I said was a couple minutes of highlight film is not enough to formulate a good opinion. That said, folks are entitled to whatever opinion they want/have, and of course can feel free to discuss.

 

I agree.  I've already said Dambrot gets a complete pass for me on season 1.  I'm just looking for player development.
