Offline maybe we'll get the three forward look i've (we've?) been clamoring for I'm thinking that's almost a given, not that there's much depth up front either. It looks like Akron played mostly 3-guard sets last year with the two 6-10 kids inside, not sure if that's the norm for Dambrot or not, perhaps our Akron fans can enlighten us. Given the roster as it stands we are going to see a very different taller look next year than the small line up we are use. We could, at some point, for instance see a line up like this: Last edited by CLK (5/05/2017 9:56 am) Offline I like the versatility that Verhoeven & Williams bring. Given the roster as it stands we are going to see a very different taller look next year than the small line up we are use. We could, at some point, for instance see a line up like this: As I said previously, I am extremely high on Eric Williams and think he was criminally under recruited. He was the best player on a team that included a four star (likely Michigan state) recruit. I think Williams could end up being a huge steal like Lewis II was. Hopefully Taylor wants to play basketball again. He will be sorely needed for depth this year. Also, I am hearing a lot of mixed reporting on whether Spencer is transferring or not. Stayed tuned on that... Offline Spencer would be wise to stay, plenty of playing time available if he gets in the gym this summer and works his ass off. If he transfers he spends a year not playing all and no guarantee the playing time increases . Offline Lots of Spencer's friends (assuming based on Twitter follows, etc.) have replied to the Rothstein tweet pretty aggressively calling his report 'fake news.' Obviously want to take that with a grain of salt, but I would assume that at the least this might not be as official yet as it has been reported Offline So I am guesssing with Usman no longer an option, as of right now, Washington is probably our best bet? Unless some of you think Melik Martin is a better option? I am personally really excited for next season, really anxious to see what's going to happen.

I don't know about the preferred walk-on status for Melik Martin. Eric Williams will apparently be on scholarship after he had committed to D-2 Davis & Elkins in February. His only other D-1 offer appears to be from Arkansas-Pine Bluff. That said, he sounds like an intriguing late-bloomer. I'm not aware that Nicholas Kratholm had any D-1 offers either. Coach may just be filling out this year's roster with some high-upside kids knowing that he's gonna have a loaded roster in 2018-19. Just from looking at these kids' profiles, I'm only seeing significant playing time for 6 kids next year (4 returnees plus Krivacevic and Verhoeven) with the others limited to garbage time or foul trouble/injury emergencies. It would be nice to get another kid who can contribute right away, like say Haruna.
Re: Let the speculation begin again
PG Lewis 6-1 or Smith 6-3
SG Williams 6-5 or James 6-6
SF Verhoeven 6-9
PF Krivacevic 6-9 or Kratholm 6-8
C Robinson 6-8
Just imagin if we added Haruna to the mix. I still think we will need, however, some walk on help at the point.

Re: Let the speculation begin again
Leaving a school like Duquesne with a good reputation is not a better choice and if you get injured Duquesne
is still honoring the scholarship.

Does anybody know of any other options for this upcoming year?
