Don't worry about being banned. You are entitled to your opinion just as much as those you disagree with. As long as everyone keeps it civil, no one will be banned. Banning is mostly reserved for trolls.

There is always a chance that people at Xavier would be convinced that Duquesne is such a hopeless job, that they would see GA as having done a pretty good job. Remember, there were Xavier people giving Dino Gaudio glowing reviews last year, based mostly on what they knew of him from his Xavier days.

This program isn't going to be much better next year either - 10 wins, maybe - because Ferry can't recruit a big man. Why would one want to come here? So get used to these seasons, because this is what we can expect in the future.

Mr. Brightside, someone leaked the memo that severely damaged a man's career.  A man who many believed deserved much better from a fine Catholic institution.  You do not think it was concievable that it was the AD because in your opinion he had no motive.  I find it hard to think of anyone else who would have any more motive given their reported relationship, particuarly any Board member.  But you know what, since no one was ever held accountable by the University for this egregious act we will never know the truth.  I would also like to turn the focus back to the future, as regrettably there is nothing that can be said here that will change the past. 

With regard to Jim Ferry.  As a long suffering DU fan I want nothing more than to see him become the "next level" coach he is amply compensated to be.  I hope he can do it.  We will see.

A 6-8 235 player is a power forward. A 6-10 260 player is a center. We have the weakest front court in the league. That's why we suck. And will continue to suck.

CLK, I'll only say that all of this GA "memo" stuff is clearly hearsay and I would think if there were a thread of credibility to it Charlie would have already canned GA.  I suspect Charlie conducted his own little inquiry that none of us know about as I am sure he was none to happy about the negative publicity that created.  Anyway I agree it's time to move on and hopefully we now can do that.  Clearly the jury is still out on Ferry and I too hope he can get it done, we'll all just have to wait a bit longer.  Ritters (many nights at your establishment in the wee hours in the late 70's by the way) I would only offer that the 3 bigs we know about next year (Soko, Watkins and Robinson) sure look a lot better "on paper" than any 6'8" or bigger guy on the roster (Saunders was 6'7" I believe) the last 4 or 5 years [S. James was at least 5 years ago (i think)] so let's at least see what they can do before we judge their ability.  I also like the fact that we may have more than just ONE decent big guy for a change.  Frankly, I'd rather have a couple 6'8" guys that can play, and quite possible play together, then a 6'11" guy that doesn't have that much ability.  Very few teams in the A-10, as Duq81 states, have a real quality 6'10" post man.
