Dad passed away yesterday and my family and I are thankful for all the prayers and support.Thank you. Stew, you never will lose the memories. For me it's 14 years and I remember him every day. Stew very sorry to hear you lost your dad. Praying God will comfort you and your family. My sympathy on your father's passing. Peace and prayers through these difficult days for you and your family. Stew I walked in your shoes nearly 20 years ago. My prayers are with you and your family. May you be comforted by great memories and faith. May God comfort and console you and yours. It's tough to lose a parent at any age, but it's a blessing for him to have had such a long run, and while a sudden death can be hard to take, in some ways it's preferable to the long, ugly, slow decline that many end up having to deal with. Stew, our prayers are with you. My parents died two months apart and it was agony. Peace, brother. Stew, you have my deepest sympathy on your loss. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. Stew, I remember you posted of your dad taking you to Duquesne games as a kid and I believe you credited that for developing your affection to the men's basketball program.

My story was I was in 8th grade and listened to KQV at night while doing homework. The evening DJ interrupted one night and said we now take you to DUQUESNE basketball. That's when I learned about Mike Rice, Clyde Arnold, John Cigalis,Billy Stromple and the Sophomore Sensation, 5-9 Willie Somerset and the Duquesne Dukes of 61-62. They were a battling bunch and ended up in the then still highly reguarded NIT as a final four team losing to the Dayton Flyers. My Dad noticed my interest and told me Duquesne had a great history ( which I knew nothing about ) and the following year took me to my first game.
I remember how big those players looked and remember Somerset doing remarkable things with a basketball and became hooked for life, see Stew it just brought back memories of my Dad by telling this story. Gods Speed to you and the family......
