    Lots of the ladies were there tonight saw Chassidy, Angelina, Paige, Kadri-Ann, Nina (she was moving well) Halle, Connor (and probably missed a few)

    I sensed a strong comradery amongst our athletes when I was on campus for the open practice Al. Root our ladies home to victory for us. I'm in Jersey so I'll pop on the tube and take care of the Steelers.

    I remember Agnus Bernarto saying after DU won for the first time vs Pitt that one Game doesn’t make a rivalry.

    After DU won the next year, she said “Now we have a rivalry.”

    I guess we don’t have a rivalry any more.

    My random thoughts from tonight's game:
    ​1. I agree with those who passed up the Steelers game to be there tonight.  I'd rather watch college basketball than pro football any day.  It doesn't seem that pro football is as good as it was when I was younger.
    ​2. I saw Coach Dambrot there, got to shake his hand, welcome him to DU, & wish him luck.
    ​3. Pitt isn't overly blessed with shooters.  They have some decent height. I expected Coach Burt to up the tempo & run those big girls off the court.  As usual, it's a good thing he doesn't call me for advice.
    ​4. With a few seconds left in the game, Susie called a time-out.  A disgruntled Pitt fan in our section shouted, "She's trying to prolong her Pitt career by 30 seconds!"

    Suzie whined after the game about how hard it is to be a BCS team and have to play a Duquesne.

    Let that register.

    How hard it is to have every advantage.

    The money. The conference. The TV exposure.

    All that.

    So tough.

    I think she must be pretty frustrated at this point. She knows her time at Pitt is coming to an end. I know we give her a lot of crap, but I am still thankful for what she did here. She really got the ball rolling in the right direction for the program, and now Burt is that "next level" coach.
