Welcome to SHOO-SHOO, RAH-RAH! The Duquesne Dukes Basketball Fan Message Board!
One of America's Great Message Boards - Any Inappropriate Posts Will Be Deleted!
Offline Today I spoke with Dr. Dougherty's personal assistant for about 20 minutes. I introduced myself, discussed some previous history and told her how upest I was about the current state of Duquesne basketball and the entire athletic department. Offline Because of the lack of achievement and focus and many other things, I wonder if the response was just meant to diffuse, or if people were really aware. Some of the folks in the Athletic Department told me they don't read any information that is on this board. Maybe they do, maybe they don't. But until someone has a "real" conversation with the AD or President, I really don't know what they are aware of or what impact if any, the current state of athletics at Duquesne means to them.
One good sign I guess
When I got to the Robert Morris thing, I mentioned the Tweets of the local media among others (Does Duquesne still have a basketball team? among others) and her response was very, very telling.
She responded like she had just touched a live electric wire. "Yes, we are very aware of those" was her response.
I could tell that more than one person was apparently aware of this, and perhaps the heat is finally beginning to be turned up on certain people.
We can only hope.
