What an atmosphere and great DU crowd tonight, drowned out the traveling flyers who were represented well as always

Great win!    Enjoyed it greatly

Another outstanding defensive effort by Coach Dambrot's Dukes.  I love these guys.  What a change in mindset, not only in the players but in the fans.  Down with just under 4 to go I KNEW the Dukes would bear down and win the game.  What a pleasure to watch a fired up coach, ACTUALLY COACHING. "Cry Havoc and let slip the dogs of  war".  GO DUKES!

I was watching the 1st half via the steaming A-10 site.  Then had to drop.
Can anybody provide context to the pushing between Brown & the Dayton player near the end of the first half?

Just to add a couple in game notes:

That is Giannis Antetekompos little brother from the miluakee bucks. Usually a starter I thought, freshman. Didn't start tonight. Dunked over Brown and then ran down the floor two inches from his face chirping in his ear and brown shoved him.

Kid did not play one minute in the second half so safe to say Grant punished him for the action.

Jeremiah Jones was in the stands too which was cool to see.

Excellent article by Zach. 

It certainly blows any "Coverage" ( never a game day story , and a mediocre at best recap - home games only ) by the local newspaper out of the water . Couple that with no real blog presence.

It will be interesting to see if the Post - Gazette coverage picks up as the season progresses if DU continues to perform and Pitt struggles a bit in ACC play.

I watched the post-game Q&A with the 3 Duquesne players. Zach did very well in picking the most pertinent and insightful statements by the players and building the piece around them.

Excellent point duq81 a just frustrated at the lack of filled seats.  But that will change.  Happy New Year everyone!

Who said that? I'm just giving a tip of the hat to Dayton. People around here always brag about all of the Steeler fans at road games. I'm giving props to Dayton fans for what they do. There will always be Dayton fans at this match-up, whether it's at Palumbo, or PPG.

My man, it seems like you don't understand the concept of supply and demand. There are a lot of empty seats In Palumbo regularly. Duquesne fans currently don't occupy the lower level seats. In the future, the hope is that they will as the team experiences more success.

In the meantime, we should take what we can get in terms of revenue.

I am currently a season ticket holder as well.  I don't care if people that don't have seats fill up the lower level, it's better for the in game environment, that's why I buy tickets.

My money (which is cheap as hell for season tickets compared to anywhere else and so are your seats) is chalked up to a commitment to future success more than anything else. If you want more tell the athletic department to roll out the red carpet for you and have bouncers for your aisle. When people fill the seats you and I will both have an argument.

Until then show up and support your Dukes and the rest will come.
