Online! On the G.W. roster he is listed as a 6'9" guard.Who do you think will get the job of guarding him. I can't see Tydus keeping up with him or staying out of foul trouble. I'm looking at Williams getting first shot at him and if that doesn't work out putting the pesky Smith on him.Maybe Taylor will get a crack at him too. Last edited by WashPaRick (1/02/2018 4:07 pm) Offline I'm thinking (in order) Tydus, Taylor, Williams. Unless if Taylor or Williams is that impressive guarding Yuta, that's a 4 or 5 inch difference that will be tough to overcome on the perimeter. It will have to be Tydus and he'll just have to find a way to stay out of foul trouble Offline I would imagine tydus starts on him. He has length and good feet. However, a player the caliber of watanabe will draw fouls, so I would expect Taylor to get a lot of time on him too. Online! They could try the box and one they used on me at the playground. One guy playing zone and 4 guys on me. Offline I would agree and really think Tydus and Taylor would be the only guys who have a chance of matching up. Offline My guess is Williams or Tydus. He has a 3 point and mid range jump shot and he can take people on the dribble. However, I don't recall him being so quick that he'd take Tydus on the dribble all night. Offline Ideally Williams will be able to handle it. Tydus is the only source of rim protection, and you'd want to keep that underneath defensively. Looking at their roster, I'm not sure who Tydus covers with either JRob or Chas in the game though. Online! Ideally Williams will be able to handle it. I know Watanabe is a very good player but he shouldn't be too quick for those two to match up with him defensively from an athleticism standpoint. It will be all about staying disciplined and not biting on head fakes and deception moves, etc for the young Dukes. That should keep them out of foul trouble and on the court.
