Game was on ESPN 3 - Watched it - First half was scratchy - 31 POINTS FOR CHASSIDY!!! She got a steal with like 20 seconds to go and it was like watching the GlobeTrotters as they tried to chase her down and foul her!!!
Thought she might be too tired to shoot the Free Throws!! NO PROBLEM SWISH!!! SWISH!!!
Paige had 14 Connor 10 (several at the end)
KEEP IT ROLLIN!!!!
Good second quarter by Helmi keeping them in the game.
So glad they won. It would have left a real bad taste in everyone’s mouth if the season ended tonight.
Let’s win this thing.

Very nice win. Some noticeable tactics changes in the game that paid off. Only three bigs were used. As noted by Kurt, this helped the team overall. Still need a little stouter post D but overall it wasn’t bad at all. The second half change to a better defensive team won the game. The switching zone, man-D, and some up court pressure took The RedHawks out of their flow. Connor, Libby and Amanda got after it. The added benefit was that with this “defensive” team, the ball really moved on offense. Chas was freed up and she was red hot. Looks like we play on the road again Monday. A win would move the ladies to the sweet sixteen with a potential WVU matchup. That would be sweet indeed!

Were we put on the road because of the NCAAs?

I would guess that the answer is yes, Duque. Here’s a game story from a Miami paper:

Thanks for this. Nice to see that Miami at least gets good local coverage.
Two good photos of Helmi with this story. Nice!

Yes, teams were practicing at Palumbo so Palumbo wasn't available. Hopefully next game which should be Monday is at home.

The WNIT site has us on the road playing the winner of the Delaware/Georgetown at 7 pm.
You are correct VBC. Very disappointing the school won’t pay to host a home game.

Great to see the Dukes pick up the tough road victory against a 20-win team.
Win and play-on!

Georgetown won - St. Joes won their first round game on Wednesday, DU won Thursday, Fordham and George Mason won yesterday - St. Louis lost - DON'T know how the brackets are set up -- HOW ABOUT A FINAL FOUR OF DUQUESNE, GEORGE MASON, ST JOES AND FORDHAM??

According to the brackets , interesting thought ( haha ), but not possible Sceptic Al .
DU and St Joes are in the same bracket, and if both continue to win would meet in the quarterfinals.
If DU wins on Monday their next game ( Round 3 ) will be against the winner of St. John's vs. Penn
Fordham and Mason are also in the same bracket , and if both win their next game they would meet in round 3 ( March 21-23 ).
Oh well , Go DU beat those evil Georgetown Hoyas !!!

would be nice to beat a brand name like Georgetown and continue playing.
