Welcome to SHOO-SHOO, RAH-RAH! The Duquesne Dukes Basketball Fan Message Board!
One of America's Great Message Boards - Any Inappropriate Posts Will Be Deleted!
Offline From Twitter: Offline Sounds like he'll try to leave on his own terms and save face. Offline "Derrick is a great kid with a tremendous upside," Everhart said. "He's a shot blocker and rebounder with the ability to step out and shoot the 3-pointer. I'm thrilled to have him as part of our program. He's a great fit for our style of play." post gazette Offline I predicted this. I'm not taking at shot at duq81, it's just that I've been saying that Ferry needs to clean house and bring in his own kids. Only two I see coming back are Jerry Jones and Abele because they're both seniors. With the three sophs-to-be, Soko, and the three kids lined up so far for next season. this leaves four scholarships open, not that all have to be filled in one swell foop. Offline I predicted this. Why would that be taking a shot at me. I've probably dogged the leftovers as much as anyone on this board. Other than Jerry, and Abele (because they'll be seniors), they all need to go. Offline I goofed on the number of potential open scholies and I won't cover it by editing what I posted. I flat out forgot Marvin Binney. THREE possible scholies to fill. JUCOs like Binney always seem to do better in year 2, so I think he will be a dependable bench player. Three open scholies, you COULD, for example, sign Brooks, Micah Mason, and the best available athlete because you would be set in the post (the three 6-8 guys + Abele), at the wing (Winters, Jerry Jones), and in the backcourt (Colter/Brooks and Jeremiah Johnson, plus Binney) while Mason sits. Note, I'm just throwing something out for conversation not knowing who our targets are or anything ... Mason and Brooks' names are already out there is all. But in that KIND of scenario, you could also sign a big man project to develop. Offline Dont let the door hit ya where your moma slpit ya. Offline Dont let the door hit ya where your moma slpit ya. What's the point in knocking him? He is what he is. It's Duquesne's fault for bringing him here, if he's not good enough to play at this level. Offline It is DU's fault. But how did I knock him? Is it to suggest that Everhart didn't know crap about recruiting, that he tried to bambozzle DU fans about the quality of recruits he was bringing in, what?? I'm not sure of your purpose and would like to know. Offline I believe that Dmart has potential. I don't see him realizing that potential here though. A change of scenery might be the best thing for him. Think he can help a lower level D1 program. Offline I believe that Dmart has potential. I don't see him realizing that potential here though. Re: Derrick Martin Leaving???
Sorry, I have no sympathy for any college player, except those who get injured during their careers and cannot reach their full potential(due to that injury). IE, kid from L'ville the other day.
I wish him well in life.
