2019 Top Targets

Can someone compile a list of the top targets we are pursuing?  Is Verbal Commits accurate?  I know CLK is usually on top of things, so I guess I'm really asking him

Re: 2019 Top Targets

Simms I believe the biggest target for next season is Brandon Stone.  We made his final for for this year, but it seems like he has reclassified to 2019. This would be a huge recruit for DU if they can get him.   I know that KD was all over Maceo Austin and Tre Mitchell early but both have exploed and seem like real long shots.  There are so many variables one of which is how many scholarships we will have.  From what I have seen is that the staff is very very good in identifying talent and next years recruits may not even be on the radar yet.

Re: 2019 Top Targets

You can probably assume that we will be after some kids from Ohio and Michigan.

Re: 2019 Top Targets

If the Dukes look good next year, beat PSU and Marshall, and Pitt and RMU, and do well in the A10, get a NIT bid, guys will want to come here and might pick DU over schools we couldnt compete with recently(or not so recently :-)).
I might be putting the cart before the horse, but we can dream, cant we?!?!?

Re: 2019 Top Targets

This kid is from Gahanna which  is in the suburbs ,just east of Columbus, its a little less than a 3 hour drive
to Pittsburgh.Population around central Ohio is really growing and there is a lot of good high school players
in the area. This is a good place for Duquesne to recruit and compete for mid major prospects.Duquesne offers players a chance to play in a league that gets multiple at large invites from NCAA.as compared to
the MAC  schools in Ohio which are a single bid league.
Duquesne has got 3 players coming in that were 1st team all-state in Ohio.Pretty good haul for KD getting
these guys to play for the Bluffites.I think Don McLane was a second team all state Ohio player and he is
the only player I remember from Ohio that had been that highly recognized.I think Mike Barr,Jack Yun,
Keith English  and Eric James were all honorable mention.

Post from another schools forum:

"....also it appears that Michigan transfer Ibi Watson will decide between Ohio, Dayton and Duquesne."

any truth...or just rumor??  He looks like he could help in 2019/20...he would have 2 years remaining after sitting out a year.  He played HS in Athens so he may want to go home...but Saul Philips is a dead man walking.

KD was interested back in 2014/15:

He was not one of the 7 rotation guys but did play in the championship game:

Re: 2019 Top Targets

Correct me if I am wrong, but Krivicevic will be the only senior next year.  So, barring transfers, there isnt much room at the inn, correct?  Might be a lonely recruiting class of one.  :-)

@TownsonKid, you are correct, as Zach Snyder is a senior next year, as well, but is a non-scholarship walk-on, of course.
For those curious, Watson just committed to Dayton (via Rothstein on Twitter).

Only 3 things certain in life. Death, taxes, and transfers.

....and a dollar short.  My initial post was on the 24th...oops early 25th and I could not find anything about the transfer.  I actually came to this site to get the scoop but it was late (or early) and nothing was posted yet.
