Duquesne doesn’t have a ton of overall size, but the Dukes certainly don’t shy away from taking the three-point shot if the opportunity is there. Containing Dambrot’s group from deep will be one of the important keys for the Irish along with slowing down Williams Jr.

The Dukes could have a little more confidence too coming off a win over a Radford team that defeated the Irish last week in South Bend.

Prediction

Notre Dame 77, Duquesne 68

I’m still curious about when the Irish will put together a complete game offensively. The second half against William & Mary (50 percent) is certainly a good start, but Notre Dame has struggled out of the gates at times.

I think that will remain the case against the Dukes. However, I feel this could be a game where the Irish can continue to build and keep improving on that end of the court.

Close game in the first half, but the Irish pull away for their second-straight win.

On a side note, about 98% of their fans predict a W for them.

Gonna need to put a body on Mooney, he is their inside man and can gobble up rebounds, get it, gobble!  :-)
Gibbs is their floor general.  Harvey and Pfelguer are ok players, and dont forget local star Carmody, he is 1 for 8 for 3s so far, lets keep him cold.

I will be out of pocket for this one, boys. But will be rooting hard for the Dukes.

CLK, interesting that one of your captains would leave 4 games into his senior season; I get that he wasn't playing a lot. But I really hate when these things (or injuries) happen right before your game; you just don't know how the opposition is going to react.  We almost got burnt by UIC when their big man had to sit out; their small lineup just started launching and making shots. Guess we will find out soon.

A win tonight would really get me excited. This feels like a really big game. No idea what to expect though.

Just heard on the fan that tonight is the 2,500th game in program history. Let’s make it a W! Don’t really understand why we are as big of an underdog with the Radford win but I like keeping that chip on our guys shoulders, extra motivation! I think we have a real chance and can’t wait to watch, Go Dukes!

Down 6 at the half. Not bad considering how poorly we shot the ball. EW needs to start making some shots. He’s hurting the offense right now.

Down 6 at half.  We have the athletes to compete.  Just gotta play D and make our open looks.   I’d think Rotroff could do damage vs these guys.

good recovery by the Dukes to only be down 6.  Shocking how poorly Williams has played, but that will happen.  I'd like to see Lewis involved in the offense more.  I worry he may transfer if he doesn't see more minutes.

I only came in for the last 4:00 of the first half and they looked decent. Defensive switches looked good for that time span, although there's still a hole to dig out of.

I must of been wrong about N.D.s 3 point shooting. I think Jarrett said they were hitting at 50% on the season.
