The women hung around for awhile; but apparently never threatened Syracuse on the way to an 87-71 loss which could have been even worse in terms of the score. Certainly a game against a top 20 team that you don’t expect to win, but an occasional surprise would be nice.

A loss was expected, but the disappointing offensive trend (mentioned many times) continues.
Duquesne's three front court regulars (Lass, Sole, and Cannon) hit 13 of 21 of their shots (62%) while the rest of the team shot a dismal 13 of 39 (33%(.
Stating it in other terms, Duquesne's front court players took only 35% of the entire team's shots, yet they were by far the more productive offense.
If the Dukes were an exceptional 3-point shooting team (45% or higher), I would say, let the 3-ball fly, but they are not. Unfortunately, shifting to a more balanced inside/outside game is not in Duquesne's future and for that reason, their hopes of winning the A10 Tourney have narrowed considerably..

The team has disappointed this year. The league tourney will be the season, as we're not close to being worthy of an at large bid.
