Thoughts...
-I'll be one of the "probably" 900 at Palumbo today to watch the Dukes
-Time to move on from the Dambrot Implosion...don't know what else can be said that hasn't been by anyone on this board
-Worried about the Hughes knee - not for today...but for the next month
-Look, we all like Mike Lewis, and maybe that is why it keeps coming up - but if he isn't scoring when he is in there the coach is going to pull him
-I'm probably spitting into the wind here, but this is a "discussion" board - so when folks go on rants, as some have done in the past, because they disagree with others, it really doesn't bode well - Hey, even the rants are to be accepted - but come on, folks can disagree - argue - take different sides - but it is all for the same reason - the love and passion for DU basketball - let's be a little more tolerant here
May everyone have a Blessed and Merry Christmas and GO DUKES!

Rotroff got mugged by mayo. How was that not a foul!?

Any reason that Norman Jr. hasn't been playing lately?

His shot hasn’t been falling as of late.

DU 27-20 at the under 8 timeout.
EKY 48 - 42 at the half.
Last 8 minutes , EKU 28 - 15. EKU scoring at the rate of 3.5 pts / minute or 140 points / 40 minutes.
Very poor effort that last 8 minutes , sloppy turnovers , poor defensive rotations , etc ….

Hurts that Carry and Tavian both picked up their second foul midway through the half.

The combination of players on the floor for the Dukes during that stretch has me scratching my head.

So much for shortening the bench.

The response to Wednesday is so far underwhelming.
Second half starts and it looks like only players named Hughes may shoot. And they're not doing such a good job at it.
Offline
Carry trying to take over but I'm worried he may wear himself out.
Offline
Never mind he should get plenty of rest now.

Bench has been SIGNIFICANTLY shortened. Eight guys with 10+ minutes. Lewis has played seven.
Offline
Norman and Kelly have barely played.

OT. Let’s take it right at mayo and see if we can get him out of the game.

Gutsy win despite not playing our best game and playing most of the second half without carry. TDM did a nice job at the point.

Holy crap my heart is pounding! Good win!
Offline
Welp, I can breathe again.

PS, I would say Coach Dambrot out-coached the other guy in this one.
Offline
Considering Carry fouled out with 4+ left.... good win.
Bad officiating again but I guess that is to be expected.
9 wins at this point is nothing to scoff at.

No quit on this team.
I’m sure we’ll see a complaint or two about why parts of the game went the way they did but that’s not important. That’ll come along with more experience at key positions like PG and C.
Bottom line is these guys do not quit or allow themselves to be hurt by circumstance.

Did Kellen Taylor even see the floor?

Times are a changin. This would have been a loss in about 23 of the last 25 years!

Nice gutsy win by a young team. I believe we turned this game around when the coach made the adjustment of going zone. When your team is as young as we are, it is very encouraging to see that there is no quit in them.
