I was starting to get worried when I didn't see this thread Phoenix. I have gotten very accustomed to seeing them every game. Thanks as always.
They've struggled this year, but led most of the game with us last season and gave Dayton all they could handle their last time out. I like the way we're playing now, so I'm picking the Dukes to win, but I'm surprised at how wide the spread is. I say Duquesne 71 George Mason 64.

My mental capacity was damaged when we lost to GW. I had those dreadful Ferry fears creep back in. After the STB win my medication took more of an effect and I started to feel a little better. Nothing has been easy this year, but I am also picking the Dukes to win.
Go Dukes!
(Awesome article in the Tribune Review regarding the conversation the ref. and Dambrot had when a balloon was thrown on the court during the Bonnies game.)

One of the few losses I actually put a good deal of the blame on Dambrot. He waited until there was less than five minutes in the game and down 14 to start pressing, which turned out to be very effective. Do it earlier next time, please Keith!
Let's Go Dukes

The last few games against Mason have been very memorable. Last home game was a double OT thriller where Eric William's had a billion points and Tydus Verhoeven had like 8 blocks. Last year we spoiled their homecoming and won by 1 after being down 19.
We have Mason's number it seems, but it wont be easy tonight. Go Dukes

Bonnies losing to Lasalle by 8 at the half. Today’s game could be for a share of 4th place.

Huge win by Lasalle over the Bonnies for us. Huge.

Cannot attend the game live due to a commitment at a party. Does anyone know if this game might also be on Stadium as the last few have?

Vickroy, the game is on ESPN+

Dambrot felt uncertain about Weathers today in that interview posted.
Well he just did a reverse alley-oop in warmups. Might be hobbled a bit but hes definitely playing

3 things make me nervous:
-Getting crushed on the defensive boards again
-Not being ready for the halfcourt trap (later 3/4 court)
-Chokey FT shooting

That may have been the ugliest worst free throw shooting ugliest Best 20th win of the year. Go Dukes!

I thought this was going to end like the Russian Olympic game.

Most regular season wins since 1972!

Well it was tougher than it should have been, but we took care of business. Another full team effort with contributions from all nine guys. 20 wins for just the second time in my lifetime sounds good, but both games are looking winnable now. So let's keep it going Dukes.

As the announcers noted, that was the longest late-game minutes you ever want to see. Hard to watch! Yes, it is a W though, and a big one.

I said this earlier in the season, but this half-court clock control style keeps every game close, good teams and bad, then relies on superior strength and/or talent to prevail. This game is a perfect example of this Jamie Dixon style of play. In the first 4 minutes of the game we pressured and trapped to a clear lead, then we pulled back and let then get back into the game. They didn't beat our press. Why did we lay off. No two games are alike, but when you are breaking down a team on something like that press, keep it up till they break it, and if they don't, win by 40 plus points. This was not a bad match up, but we could have won going away. And for more reasons than that early press, for instance, why are we not in the paint for offensive rebounds? Most of this game when a 3-ball was launched, no one in the paint? At least, KD played a deep bench again, and Rotroff shows he can play a lot more minutes and KD really needs him to play around 20 minutes these last few games to go deep in the tourney. Everyone else played a good game, but we should have and could have run away with this. And please stop those lazy lob passes. Not every team is going to let us get away with that kind of passes. Great to get to 20 wins. But this team lost too many close games this year on some of these issues. I can look back and see at least 25 wins in regular season if this team played up to their potential.

20 wins. Keep it going
On the play by play JD was hammering the refs ... “Go back to high school” was one quote on a 2nd half call on Norman Jr.
I only listened - for those who watched (live or on E+) was the officiating as bad as it sounded?

Yes, those 3 travels on Hughes just under the basket in the paint for 6 more point that we should have made, the refs took away were just mind boggling. Not much else that I could see that didn't happen for both sides..

If we could have made a few more free throws - MIGHT NOT HAVE TAKEN FOREVER TO PLAY THE LAST TEN SECONDS!!!! Still any and all wins accepted.
Was nice to see Rotroff contribute given the foul problems of Mike H and Steele - DU probably doesn't win the game without his contributions tonight!!
Steal (or maybe) STEELE one at VCU!!!!!

I normally appreciate the announcer trying to get the crowd into the game but he has bad timing-
For example, he tried to stir up the crowd just after TDM just made one of the worst passes I've ever seen directly to a GM player that wasn't even close to anybody from Duquesne.
He's just ticking me off asking for a big cheer after a boneheaded play,

I was at the game and they were awful all night and it went both ways. A poorly officiated game.

Amazing that we won a game where the other team had twice as many rebounds as us.

This one felt different to me. I always knew this was going to be win. Things are moving in the right direction at the right time.
I listed my 3 concerns above. I knew they wouldn't cost the Dukes this game but, I fear they will prevent the best possible finish to the season coming to fruition.
How many heard The Jewel ranting about Ray's late game strategy suggestion, KD's late game lineups, the refs, the time reviews, & Steele's rough night? That is the most animated I have ever heard him & I only turned on the radio broadcast for the last 2 minutes. It was fun.
He is a class act. I am always amazed how well he bites his tongue in support of the coaches. That has had to be very difficult for a person who loves the school so deeply & knows the game so well. I would fail miserably in his position.
