Hurting times for college basketball fans and teams for sure, nobody wants to ever see the season end this way. That said, it's admittedly the correct decision. Coach makes great points once again, “We’re going to put these kids in harm’s way? We can’t do that, when we’re closing campuses and protecting every other student in our campus. We can’t put our players in the line of fire. ... I think there’s some disappointment in it, because we felt like we had a pretty good chance." 

I'll hold on to a super small slice of hope that the A10 tournament will be played in a few months, May Madness? This is going to continue getting worse before it gets better, but hopefully we as a country can get it under control to help us Americans out and give us back our beloved sports.

This truly sucks. By my count, 25 of the 29 DU teams I have followed as a true fan had no real chance of making noise in the conference tournament. Why does COVID-19 have to be this season?

Even if things get, in some way, back on track in 10 days, with the CBI having been canceled & no chance to make a miracle NCAA run or strengthen the NIT resume in the A-10 tournament, this season is over for our squad.

I realize this is small potatoes when compared with a six figure worldwide infection count, 4,000+ fatalities, & no certainty that this pandemic will come under control anytime soon.

All of this board's posters will be needed next season to overanalyze the team's shortcomings & wildly celebrate the best season of Dukes basketball in about 50 years. Stay safe & see you at The Coop.

News is just moving so fast right now. Apparently Selection Sunday is still on. According to Jeff Goodman much of the coaches of top teams have agreed on postponing the tournament until further notice and picking the tournament without holding conference championships.

Statement from the Atlantic Coast Conference: “The Atlantic Coast Conference has suspended all athletic related activities including all competition, formal and organized practice, recruiting and participation in NCAA championships until further notice."

Others will no doubt follow including the A10
