Uh, no! This is no attack on KD. KD knows very well how things work. The ooc schedule was fairly soft because it wasn't time yet for a hard schedule. The schedule, and the results very accurately reflect what we were this year, a good, but not yet elite team. A good team can beat SLU twice, and win at Bona, and VCU, but they can also lose to GW, UMass, UAB, and Marshall. That lack of consistency is the difference between good, and great. We should be better next year, and I expect that the schedule will reflect this, as we will need the right kind of wins to reach the goals that KD has set. The system is not set up to benefit us, or the schools at our level. Unless we plan to win 25 games or more, we'll have to schedule, and defeat some good teams. If we don't, and end up with 22-23 wins, what do you think the first thing that will come out of the mouths of the P5/BE cartel will be? "Who did Duquesne beat?" "They didn't play anybody!" "Our Big State U played a killer schedule, ranked teams every week." "18 wins is impressive against that mighty schedule!" "Yada, yada, yada." It is what it is, and it's what we have to deal with. The examples of what a team at our level has to do to reach the NCAAs as an at large are plentiful, and our coach is well aware of what needs to be done, and next year's schedule will reflect that.
