I'm going Monday WashPa, though won't be able to make it Wednesday.  I'll try my best to remember the numbers (hopefully I'll remember to bring pencil and paper and write them down) and try to add them to a writeup of my observations.

Some stats from last night from the Pitt Rivals site.

The Lair 87, GNC 86

With 20 seconds left in the night's final game and The Lair down by three, Duquesne's L.G. Gill converted a four-point play to win the nightcap.

After Duquesne's Derrick Colter hit a pair of free throws to put GNC up three points. The Lair pushed the ball up the floor frantically looking for an opportunity to tie the game.

Gill got the ball out past the left wing and launched an ill-advised three toward the basket as Robert Morris guard Karvel Anderson made contact with the body. The 6-foot-6 Gill stepped to the line, knocked down the free throw and put his team up for good.

GNC would get one more opportunity at the other end, but Colter's pull up three-pointer didn't fall.

Duquesne's Ovie Soko led The Lair with 22 points including an and-one conversion with 27 seconds left to pull his team within three. Gill and Clarion's Aaron Johnson each chipped in 16 points.

Despite committing the decisive foul, Anderson led GNC with 23 points. Colter finished with the games only double-double, netting 10 points and dishing out 10 assists in the loss

Easy--the same excuse they'll use this year when the ACC slaps Pitt around--Dixon is short on scholarship players and has such a young team blah, blah, puke and gag.
 

Only one DU team played last night.  Did anyone attend?  Below is from the Pitt board.

For a second night in a row, the final game of the night was decided by a single point, as SPK Law held off GNC 80-79.

Lamar Patterson led five SPK players in double-figures, with 20 points. Joining him was Shawn Amiker (Youngstown State) with 15, Pitt's Mike Lecak and Mike Young with 11 apiece, and Jeremiah Worthen (Robert Morris) with 10.

Young also had a team-high eight rebounds, giving him an average of nine rebounds per game through the first two. Despite his efforts, SPK was outrebounded 33-32.

Karvel Anderson (Robert Morris) led the way, in a losing effort with 22 points Derrick Colter had 17 points.

TraVaughn White scores 30 points in his first summer league game.  Sounds like he is the score we heard he was. Steve has a nice summary on his blog.  Here is an article with stats from the Pitt Rivals site.

 The Pitt guys have been impressed with Ovie all summer.

Liked what I saw from Gill, White and Ridenour. Gill and Robinson both have some meat on their bones something we've been lacking. Lewis is a big one and looks to have some potential to me.
