Some of you may have seen this. Last week the NCAA has granted an extra year of eligibility for all winter sports athletes including basketball. Those players who have exhausted their eligibility (players like Hughes, Weathers and TDM should they decide to return next year) will not be counted against 13 player max roster. Ha ha, we’ll have 30 kids and people will be apoplectic. Well the Dukes will be loaded and maybe we get a full season at Cooper We will be loaded next year if the guys decide to come back. I could see Weathers and Hughes getting pro interest, if not from the NBA than certainly overseas. If they do come back though, it would definitely be the most talented roster we've had in decades (and one of the most experienced) to go along with the best coach we've had in that time. The hardest thing might be getting under the 13 limit for this year. If we can figure that out, next year will be easy (except for actually having expectations for the first time in possibly that long too).
