Seems like a good get. I just saw this on Twitter. Had Texas A&M offer. Nice! Haven't heard of this kid before tonight but he looks impressive! Last edited by BluffHunter (10/27/2020 8:36 pm) I really like the idea of all the players that have done post-graduate years. The additional physical & mental maturity has to be an advantage. I think they also listed Washington State with an offer, which is another good program. KD knows how to spot talent and i like this kid's attributes. Keep the train rolling KD!!!! Like his height. Shooting ability with size. I found the following article about Andy Barba to be interesting: Article from a local Ohio paper, the News-Herald: A few thoughts. Andy and Coach D. better make darn sure that his for-profit website is, in no way, tied to Duquesne basketball. Also a question. These post high school programs totally confuse me. Does anyone have any idea how many years of eligibility he will have? Ken, I am no expert on the new NCAA “Name/ImageLikeness” legislation, but I think this young man’s business probably falls under NLI guidelines. Pretty sure the Athletic Department will monitor it appropriately. When a kid takes a post grad year, he enters as a freshman with a full four years. Last edited by HookShot (10/29/2020 2:20 pm) He can play 4 full seasons and is able to redshirt as well. He has the same option of having 4 seasons available to play in 5 academic years. Thanks Bluf and Hook.....

Shooting with size is just what the program needs.
Welcome aboard Andy!

"...Barba was offered by Miami (OH), Duquesne, Tennessee State, Columbia, and Youngstown State last summer alone. Along with that group of five, Barba has also visited Ohio State, Penn State, and the [Poops]burgh Panthers. Xavier and Davidson are also showing interest."
Barba evidently has enough skill to attract a look-and-see from some pretty established basketball schools [the exception being the Spitsburgh Panthers].
