A little surprised the A10 didn't use this strategy from the start as many other conferences have. So does this replace the 2/24 game against GW (opening a date to reschedule the Richmond or St. Louis games) or replace the Richmond or St. Louis game?

I was thinking maybe they should play St. Louis twice when they came to town and now with this happening that's probably a good possibility.

George Wash. has lost some close games and they have also lost Maceo Jack and Jameer Nelson Jr. before the Fordham game. They beat Fordham easily and should be pretty pumped playing us coming off pretty much a month of inactivity.

Thought the same thing initially, Rick, but we actually don't have a home game against St. Louis this year, our doubles are against GW (now a triple), Davidson, Fordham and Dayton.

Looks like Bonnies still a double and I didn't see the home game with G.W. still on the schedule.

This is accurate. The move this weekend changes our home and away with GW to an away and away. I figured the move was done to open up a window to make up the Richmond or St. Louis game, but neither of them has an opening when we were supposed to host GW (February 24).
We now have three "byes" in our schedule (1/20-1/27, 2/7-2/13, and 2/20-2/27) but neither Richmond or St. Louis has openings during any of them. Now obviously we or our opponent could play on short rest, or we could squeeze in games if others have Covid complications. I don't see why this was the game was moved if the rationale is making up games though.
It would have made more sense to move our away game with Dayton to the day after our home game with them (preferably also at home, but the trip wouldn't be that long if they wouldn't agree with that). That would allow us to make up the St. Louis game on January 12 or 13 when we are scheduled to play at Dayton. We would both be playing on three or four days rest and then both have a game 2 or 3 days later. We were already scheduled to travel then, so it wouldn't change our schedule much either.
Then we could move our away game with Davidson to the day after our home game with them (though this one would have to be a double home game as we can't play in Pittsburgh and NC on back to back days). That would allow us to make up the Richmond game on February 16 or 17. We would both be playing on 4 days rest and each have 3 or 4 days rest before the next game. Again we were scheduled to travel then anyway, so not much would change.

St. Louis cancelled today as well as both games scheduled in Philly this week. Look for multiple back to back games this season in the A-10.

Yeah, they said during the broadcast today that tomorrow's game replaces the 2/24 GW game and now the Dukes have an opening to schedule a non-conference game. Hmmm, yeah, good luck with that.
Davidson-VCU also postponed today though the Covid issues appear to be on the VCU side so hopefully Tuesday's game is still on.
