Excellent. Take the rest of the year off, and come back ready next fall.

Hope he gets his mind right and back on the right track soon. Life is more than just basketball.

He seems to be wise beyond his years. People far older than him have needed some time to process 2020 without having to deal with family tragedy at the same time. He's been blessed with enormous basketball skills, but is more than a basketball player. Get your head in the right frame of mind and everything else will follow. We're with you until then.

I wish Maceo all the good fortune there is to have. It would be great if he could find happiness & be a Duke. He seems very likable & has as much or more upside than any player in the program.
I will be mildly shocked to ever see him in a DU uniform again. Working through your hard times & rejoining the same group seems a tall order. Under the circumstances, making a fresh start with no sit-out year & 3 years of eligibility remaining would be hard to pass up.
I realize a wild offseason with plenty of roster additions & subtraction is almost guaranteed but, with Okani, Baker, Roesing, & Barba expected to also be on the roster in 21-22, there is likely to be a logjam for minutes at the 3 & 2 where Maceo does his best work.
