6:00pm EST tip on Wednesday 01/27/2021 at the Rose Hill Gym, Bronx, NY Does the spot consider that Neubauer, the head coach, is gone? Coach D Pregame interview: A lot of quotables from coach in that interview. Interested to see how Fordham comes out tomorrow with the interim coach, that wasn't known whenever the presser took place earlier today. Does the spot consider that Neubauer, the head coach, is gone? Econ69, at most books, the line opened at 7 yesterday afternoon (after the word was got that Neubauer was fired). The line is pretty much still at 7 this morning; with slight downward pressure to move to 6½. Oh, I'm sure FU will play a great game tonight, maybe their best all year, and yeah, they beat Dayton. In recent years, this is the kind of situation where the team has come out flat & tried to coast rather than come out roaring to dispatch a weakened opponent. Are they past that kind of mental lapse? This game will be an interesting opportunity to see how much the team has developed; since Fordham was the first game without Carry and Austin (any word on if he'll be back tonight?). It's been almost three weeks and I think we are a lot better. The freshmen have developed quickly, the vets look much healthier, and the coaches seem to have figured out the rotation better. Dukes 60 Rams 48. Fordham is no doubt going to play us the same way as last time. They are going to pack the paint and dare us to shoot wide open three point shots. We need to move and reverse the ball, and drain the open shots. If Murphy has visons of playing pro ball he needs to step up and drain those open shots, which he is capable of doing. TDM, Baker, Okani and Acuff time to shine. Go Dukes! I kind of worry about the 6-10 kid getting Hughes in foul trouble. If that happens we lose a scorer and Please guard their 3-point shooter Austin! He seems to be able to get open looks from 3-pt land against Duquesne, despite the fact that he is their most accomplished shooter from beyond the arc. He has a nice shot and a strong shooting base. You just can't help off him and get burned with the 3!. Fordham is no doubt going to play us the same way as last time. Go Dukes! “Time to Shine” CLK like it👍 One suggestion however be Fierce & play like a Lion with a crown. Seriously this will be a difficult game for the Dukes if they can’t hit their open shots. Will need Weathers & Hughes to carry this young team. Go Dukes. Looks like Bekelja is auditioning at PG. Please guard their 3-point shooter Austin! You just can't help off him and get burned with the 3!. Guess they didn't get the message on Austin. Rotroff in ahead of Harris. Wonder if that little tirade last game is being addressed? The freshmen scored most of the points so far. So far so good!!!!! Dukes looking good and the shots are falling. The young guys are really progressing quickly In recent years, this is the kind of situation where the team has come out flat & tried to coast rather than come out roaring to dispatch a weakened opponent. Are they past that kind of mental lapse? As usual, my powers of prognostication are frighteningly accurate. This is pleasant! 😁 The Dukes need a 3-point shooter. Well, here's a 2nd instance where we see an amazing performance from Baker. And we know Tavian can light it up, if not consistently, at least in great hot streaks. The Dukes need a 3-point shooter. Might there be a Jett take off tonight? Not to rain on the parade, but why is Rotroff playing ahead of Kelly and/or Harris??? Rotroff missed 2 bunnies on nice assists from Acuff in the first half and has shown nothing. Acuff needs to start at PG from here on out. He looks good and has gotten better and better. I know Bekejla made 2 three’s but I am not a fan, but if he must play then let him be the back-up PG for this year (only) and let TDM come off the bench at the 2. Yes, I would start 3 freshman. Jett sighting. All the glorious details

And yes, Fordham is just as likely to play inspired basketball as they are to wallow in self-pity due to a tough circumstance.
I think this game became harder, not easier, with the departure of the coach.
I know Jeff a little bit. He is a friend of a friend & we have interacted at a few casual social events. Coincidentally, 2 years ago, we were seated next to each other on a flight from Atlanta to DC on the way to one of those events. I have always enjoyed hanging with him.
To me,there has been an air of negative inevitably surrounding his time at FU. I suppose that he could just as easily have been their KD but the odds were against him. That ugly business with his wife & mistress couldn't have made things any easier.

no one else beside the 2 other seniors score consistently,it could be difficult and Fordham might be
motivated for new coach.Dukes struggle with Fordham every game since Dambrot has been here.
This is a game for Murph to step it up because you never know what the freshman will do,very inconsistent
scoring.A loss would be devastating.

That, was a fun first half.
I am pumped for Marcus & Acuff in particular.
No Murphy, Maceo, or Amari & Bekelja gets the start. KD will keep you guessing.
