Certainly a confidence builder. Let's hope there is a carry over moving forward. Baker looking like a real find. Did anyone expect him to play this well his freshman year? Let's keep it going!! CLK, I could have sworn Acuff had 2 buckets in the second half and one was a 3 point play, am I wrong on this? In the first half I think he had 9 pts. Glad we won... congrats... but let’s be open.,. We beat a poor team even in more disarray with what transpired as far as them losing their head coach. With that said, you have to win these games and they did! Nice job! Let’s get the next one too. We are going to be tough to beat if we can shoot like that. Yes it was against the worst team in the conference, but we still had to make the shots. Baker looks like a star in the making. Weathers might finally be back in top form. Hughes continues to be a statsheet stuffer. TDM struggled shooting, but showed good judgement. Ironic that switching back to shooting guard leads to his best game passing. It will be interesting to see what happens at point guard. In the little time he's gotten I haven't seen anything out of Bekelja to justify getting the start tonight. While he played well, I don't know that he can be credited with the offensive output. Still I think he has to get the start next time out to see. It was nice to see Roesing get in. It would have been even better if he made his shot, but he appears committed to defense. It's tough to say how good it was given the limited role and weak opposition, but the commitment is certainly there. He was hustling all over the floor and almost came up with a steal. Actually, Roesing did hit a 3 point shot. But just like his season has been going so far, just as the ball was passed to him a timeout was called. He shot the ball anyway, and of course, nothing but net. When it rains... It looked to me like Jett has spent some time in the weight room. His thighs, in particular, looked very substantial. It's debatable who's the worst team in the league.. Fordham or St. Joe's?? Gotta make another statement Saturday, fellas! Keep the pedal to the metal... This was really a great all around performance by the Dukes. I know Fordham is hurting, but the Dukes never gave them a chance to catch their breath. Duquesne dominated on both ends led by monster performances by Hughes and Weathers. The Dukes made 14 three point shots! When was the last time that happen against any team? All of the freshman players played very well, and moved forward to becoming sophomores. Great game, let's build on this. Go Dukes! The Dukes made 14 three point shots! When was the last time that happen against any team? Had to go into the archives to find out, but it wasn't as long ago as I thought. Last February we had the exact figure from deep (14 of 34) against St. Bonaventure at Robert Morris. The shooting was more spread out in this one though, as TDM, Carry, and Steele had 13 of the 14 against the Bonnies. Another statistical note I hadn't seen pointed out yet, this win ties the all-time school record for largest road win in a conference game. We also beat Fordham by 23 two years ago in the Bronx. In fact the four largest conference road wins are all against Fordham in the last decade.
CURRENT RECORD 9 - 14 (4-6 in the A-10)
