What a great opportunity to invite a big east official to view the City Game. Yes Pitt will win @ the students may never come back until next year but this is a showcase game.Wins @ loses dont matter its Duquesne invited to the Big East. I am sure its already being done. Go Duquesne. That would make sense Iron, except for the fact that the scheduling doesn't favor us as far as student participation being Thanksgiving weekend. I am told that our students out shined the Pitt students, and had a great showing last year. That may be why the Pitt people wanted the game moved to a time when students wouldn't be in school. If they aren't already aware of our poor fan support, (and they are), Dayton, Richmond, St. Louis, and VCU, all of whom would like to be in the BE, would quickly point it out. Say it doesn't happen although I would love that the dukes get into the NCAA Atleast once or on a regular basis.good for coach Ferry & GA they both would be rewarded with better jobs. The fact still remains Pgh TV market with the new fox deal plus Consol. Thanks to Charlie Duquesne top 10 catholic school.why not put forth the positives and avoid the simplicity of Duquesne attempting to achieve the success of Xavier within the short window of opportunity.you can only put forth your strengths why focus on the futility of an NCAA appearance as far back as 1977.if coach Ferry matches REs efforts & I hope exceeds it for Duquesne these factors should outweigh talk of. Richmond or VCU which obviously are not Catholic. Fox sports network coast to coast with Duquesne as a member is worth millions in media exposure .if this regime never gets a NCAA bid why give up by ignoring Duquesnes strengths? I suggest you visit the Villanova and Georgetown boards, and ask them what they think of Duquesne. Might be interesting for you to find out what they think of Duquesne. Some of the posters are well connected, so they do have an idea of how things stand. '81, Why dwell on the past, there is no reason that the Dukes can't win beginning this season, and change perceptions of the program. You saw it beginning to happen with a couple of Ron's teams (A-10 final and an 11-game win streak). I suggest you visit the Villanova and Georgetown boards, and ask them what they think of Duquesne. Might be interesting for you to find out what they think of Duquesne. Some of the posters are well connected, so they do have an idea of how things stand. Who would possibly care what people on a Villanova or Georgetown message board think?

The best thing that Duquesne has going for it, is that the schools in the BE are in hurry to add more teams. This will give us time to improve what we put on the floor. NCAA bids (and not one time deals like Bona), and advancement in the tournament is what will get the attention of both local fans, and the BE.

I seem to recall that the last two times we had the chance to play Georgetown, they barely escaped. Call me an eternal optimist, but I see no reason why Duquesne cannot become competitive with those teams.

If Charlie has been told unless we get multiple NCAA bids within the next 2-3 years that person is attempting to save his job. This current situation is not perfect but please no white flag and continue to present the positives for Duquesne.i have become very weary of excuse makers they generally blame others to save their own job. Stay positive my friend even if the Dukes fail to get a bid to the big dance. If Duquesne is left out of the future big east expansion then it's over A-10 1 bid league no TV maybe multiple bids for the cbi or nit. To be successful you must eat crow arrogant people generally fail.
