-Will the team come out with fire or be flat from the layoff? Last edited by phil95 (12/17/2021 12:09 pm) Absolutely no idea! Absolutely no idea! Wisdom. Valid points Phil although I did kind of chuckle when I saw the headline. Is it possible to anything with a 4-7 team at this point to be "critical"? Just my weird sense of humor, not being "critical"!
CURRENT RECORD 9 - 14 (4-6 in the A-10)

After The Off Week/Critical 3 Week Stretch
-Will there be evidence of a better understanding of offensive principles?
-Will a zone defense have been implimented?
-Will everyone be fully healthy except Gunn? (Rotroff looks pretty damn good to me but I think we learned from him that as of last week, he still wasn't practicing.)
-There is another week break after the 12/18 & 12/22 games. What can/will be accomplished during that time off?
-Is Gunn ready or will he be ready by 12/30?
-I feel like there is an excellent opportunity here to build momentum by winning 3 in a row, get healthy, be well rested, & be coached up before starting conference play at Davidson. I fear if these things fail to happen, this team is going to lose 12+ conference games.
What do you folks think?

Re: After The Off Week/Critical 3 Week Stretch
I tried to recollect when I can recall a Duquesne team coming out with "fire" in a game. I remembered the Temple game under Ron Everhart, on a Saturday afternoon at Palumbo when TJ was suspended for the game and the Dukes pounced all over Temple from jump and lead the game 20-2 before Temple knew what hit them; and that was a pretty good Temple team. Certainly the victory over #9 Xavier and Sean Miller when the Dukes held a steady lead for most of the night and held on to win. Sean was furious, kicking and cursing, probably threatened to throw himself on the floor and hold his breath until he turned blue, but the result was in the books!
