Re: DU establishes a Fund for Basketball Excellence

Yawn!

So the locker rooms are nicer while we watch the Dukes go 11-17 for the next three seasons in front of crowds of 1,200 on the Palumbo Center!

Re: DU establishes a Fund for Basketball Excellence

I think the purpose is to have more funds so we don't go 11-17.  Just a thought.

Re: DU establishes a Fund for Basketball Excellence

That comes to $100,000 per person over a five year period or $20,000 per year. That's a very nice thing to do. However, 1M in today's evnironment does not go far. Thanks to those who can and do donate.

Didn't you once threaten to make this type of investment into DU basketball?

I only wish we had more alums who could belly up to the bar with this kind of donation.

No, I was going to endow an academic scholarship in my parents' name and donate a mere 10 grand to the hoops program.  Then McConnell and Amodio proceded to set us back five more years.
