    Non Conference Schedule per Pittsburgh Sports Now

    First peek at schedule looks promising with DePaul, Marshall and Winthrop at home. 3 more games to schedule.

    Here's the dates that we know so far for the Non Conference schedule:
    November 8th - Home - Montana
    November 18th - Neutral; Akron, OH - Colgate
    November 23rd - Home - Alabama State
    November 29th - Home vs. UC Santa Barbara
    December 3rd - Home vs. Ball State
    December 14th - Home vs DePaul
    December 17th - Home vs Indiana State
    December 21st - Home vs Winthrop
    -----
    TBD - Home - Marshall
    TBD - Home - North Florida
    TBD - Home - South Carolina State
    TBD - Home - TBD (3rd team in Kentucky MTE)
    TBD - Away - Kentucky

    Last year there was that Mountain West Challenge which got canceled due to COVID where the Dukes were scheduled to play Wyoming -  Wonder if that League vs League Challenge will be back -  Wyoming was pretty strong - If it IS back teams might have different opponents

    Was listening to the Fan Friday, Ron Cook was discussing Pitts non conference basketball schedule. Cookie first gave kudos to the return of the backyard brawl via mens basketball between Pitt & WVU. He rightfully acknowledged his fondness for Coach Huggins. Cookie then went on and criticized Pitt for refusing to play Duquesne. He then addressed some of the non conference games of Alabama A&M as well as the others. I am now a big fan of Cookie👍

    I like this schedule, lots of chances to win games.   IDK if they will play the MWC, or even if the A10 did, would we be part of it, they only have 11 teams.   San Jose St would be the worst team, they won 1 conference game last year.   Would really be nice to win the vast majority of these OOC games, get some team unity, positive vibes and momentum heading into the A10 slate.

    townson, this comment is "not against" you.  

    Somewhere in the San Jose St. Fan base someone is saying...Gee, we are playing Duquesne, they are the worst team we will be playing...they only won 1 conference game last year!  Go Dukes!

    Correct.  And that means our final opponent will be selected by Kentucky to fill out their MTE.  Likely a home game vs. a low mid major.

    Coupled with the very good teams coming to the Coop from the conference, it is easily the best schedule we have had at home in a very long time!

    Agree. I do however wonder was this schedule the work of the AD or Coach Dambrot. Very challenging schedule. Also could be a joint effort.

    Looks like it might be Yale

    Kentucky will host Yale as part of 2022-23 non-conference schedule - On3
