    VCU RAM NATION FORUM

    Memo to CLK. This lame website charges 49.95 per year to participate & receive “ inside information “ about VCU sport teams. Second option 4.95 per month for participation. The VCU forum Duquesne thread has a “R” or mentally challenged poster obsessed with our programs name “ Dukes”. I guess the goof ball never heard about the Virginia school located in Fairfax Virginia. Again to the great CLK  you need to make some big bucks for your efforts😂

    LOL. Not great, not an insider and some would say we would have to pay people to read this site 🙂

    Seriously, I am thankful for the many posters  who have stepped up and started sharing and posting items of interest on this board. Also, Phoenix, WahpaRick and FAM do a great job in running this Board.

    I do have to agree with you that the VCU fans are among the most obnoxious. The Dukes need to come out high energy and ready to play.
    As this article mentions the VCU Coach is counting on a fast start. Go Dukes!

    It may not seem like much to us older fans....but, it represents something that is students-to-students!  I like the initiative shown here.  It is only a start, but it represents the importance of student athlete to student  relationships.  Kudos to the person responsible for this thought.

    I couldn’t agree more. They are fighting an uphill battle due to at least 20 years of indifference (probably longer, but that’s how long I’ve been around the program). At least they are trying something though. Best of all, it’s probably free to the university. There’s literally no downside and it is something students really want (unless I’m totally out of touch with today’s students).

    Quite right!!   Finally someone put their thinking cap on!  Joe Reece,  Kareem Rozier and David Dixon (these guys are so sincere!) and others should be commissioned to do this periodically and I think it'll open an avenue of dialogue between the student athletes and the students.... ie it becomes a more personal relationship for the students, and fans in general. Looking forward to more of this... What better advewrtising could you have?

    • Duquesne holds a prominent page in hoops Black history ... in 1950, Duke legend Chuck Cooper became first African American to be drafted by NBA team (second round by Celtics). On a slightly different note, the Duquesne Slide in Pittsburgh is well worth your time - almost straight down. I closed my eyes.

    to be fair when we joined the conference duquesne was solid middle to upper half of the conference, and have only recently fallen off. nevertheless screw ‘em!

    Maybe we’ve found a new way to exploit the transfer portal. Schedule the schools guys transfer in from. They usually will have a chip on their shoulder and play that much harder. First Tre had a big game against Indiana State, now Trey had a big game against VCU.
