Pardon me for switching sports, but in the immortal words of Lou Holtz "this game doesn't have to be close." Our games with Fordham seem to be close even when they shouldn't be. We are a much better team than them. To the surprise of pretty much nobody, a non-conference schedule loaded with teams from the NEC and MAAC doesn't prepare you for the A-10 (even in a down year for the conference).

Despite being far more talented than them, I don’t see a blowout because of the matchups. They do a great job cleaning up misses, which has been a big part of our game this year. They want to turn games into a battle, and we’ve been very foul prone. They’re also good on the interior defensively and I’m afraid that could lead us to settling for outside shots. We’ll need to knock down some 3s to win, but they need to be good looks. We can’t settle or force bombs like we did against St. Bonaventure (at least until I turned it off in disgust).

So I don't see a blowout, even if it should be based strictly on talent. Playing at home against an inferior team I don't see it being a nail biter either. Dukes 72 Rams 64.

I agree Lucky! 

It's all about perspective.  Let's look at this season a different way:

Say we were preseason #1 in the A10 (expected to win the league.)  I would say as I assume most of you would that 15-3 would be a solid prediction for the in league record.  And when looking at the schedule I would say the 3 losses would be, at Dayton, at Richmond, and at St Bona. 

It would have been nice to steal one of those (and we almost did,) but I'm still very high on this team and expect another big win at home over a bottom feeder in the league, Fordham.  

There is a lid on the rim! Glad it hasn’t affected our defense though to this point. Keep that up, and we’ll get going

Now that was some ugly basketball.

Ugly so far, both teams,but at least the last 2 minutes we got some points.

Maybe that 3 heats up Grant.

Ellis Cannon actively roots against the Dukes. I’ve never seen anything like it from a home announcer.

This season heading south in a hurry.

Pathetic team, just like every other year. 

That was comical. Brewer dribbling around in circles on every possession. No half court offense. Feel sorry for the assistant coaches. No chance for them to get a head coaching or a good assistant job under this guys tutelage. They look demoralized sitting on the bench the entire game while their head coach never sits down. Speaks "control freak" to me. Clark will split in a NY minute after the season and most likely Dixon, Barre, and Hronsky. Damn, there is talent and potential, but that doesn't mean much if you cant coach it. Wow, what a regression. Dukes will be fighting to avoid a first day game, not that it matters at this point. Dixon, Clark, and Barre will be playing for some P-5 school next year. Think about that for a second and that's all you need to know about this coach.
