Offensive skills lacking. Dukes have to hit their 3’s 33-38%. Dukes bigs cannot have a repeat Fordham performance. A-10 this year top to bottom is a crapshoot.Go Dukes👍 After the one-week layoff earlier in the season, Duquesne was terrible for two games and then began to play much better. I'm hoping that history repeats itself and they recapture their outside shooting accuracy. Grant is due for a good game on the road. I hope Clark and McGriff are healthy and I hope Clark is agressive going to the basket like he was against VCU. I feel like this is a game we should win, but I’m worried about it. While they aren’t good statistically inside, as has been pointed out they are bruisers. Our bigs have struggled against some soft teams inside. They are pretty good shooting the 3 ball and we’ve been terrible defending the outside shot all year long (I’m honestly surprised we’re not worse than 258th nationally that Phoenix’s stats show). Plus we have struggled in Massachusetts. We’ve played them pretty evenly at home, but we’re 2-17 in their place. In typical A10 officiating fashion, Reece, Rotroff, and Gunn with two fouls each already. While the Minutemen throw the ball at the rim and their bigs maul us on the rebounds. But nothing that wasn’t expected, officiating included. Frank Martin needs a stylists. That jacket wow. You would think when Ronnie hired him out of Miami as a high school coach at North Eastern he would dress appropriate.Everybody talks about Martin as a Huggins disciple. Again thank you Dr. Chuck loser & Quinipiac Clown . Go Dukes & go Coach Dambrot. TheA10 is a Complain. Sloppy lazy defense, stupid fouls 30 feet from the basket, missed foul shots, blah, blah, blah. The most disappointing thing is Dambrot's lineup combinations. As a masochist I kind of know why I started watching this even though I knew the outcome at the get go against a team playing without their best player. Too stubborn to bet against the Dukes as a road favorite even though it was a "no duh" bet. Grant must have never learned or been coached on how to drive to the basket hard and create contact. Think a lot of his coaches including this one didn't know how to teach this or make him realize how much that would have helped his game and team. Williams, not sure what he brings, but just a lot of frustration. Reece one of those guys you want to be tough, but just not in his DNA. Rotroff no matter how tired should play 25 minutes in a game, even when tired he's better and gives much more effort than Reece or Williams even when fresh. Give me guys who battle. Clark will be playing for a power 5 school next year, no doubt. The defense outside of Clark and Rotroff is just deplorable. Stop playing the two 5-7 guys at the same time. But we have to respond better than this. We should expect that by now. If not, we are being naive. We need to make our open looks and our layups. Stop giving up second chance points. We’ll make a run, I know it. Grant really needed one of those 3s to drop. At least he had a good pass to Gunn for the dunk after those plays We need to rebound and make free throws. Rozier is the reason this is almost close. Rebounds are killing us. I don’t even want to know the second chance points statistic. We are getting bullied. Afraid of creating contact which is basketball 101 when driving to the hoop and way too lax when it comes to boxing out or playing in your face defense. Those habits pretty much set the tone. The refs see it. The refs know the Dukes are not a tough team and that their coach is not a good one, so they never give them the benefit of the doubt. There's no run that's gonna result in a win for this team. Need a reputable hard nosed coach that reflects the team and gains a bit of respect from the refs. Pretty simple. Horrendous defense. How many three pointers will we end up taking? The announcer had a good word at describing it, "Chucking" Cant wait to hear the press conference lol This team hasn't quit. These foul calls are insane. I absolutely love the fight in this team. If only we got a fair whistle. Ever. Luis with his 5th uncalled travel of the day. Instead they give a phantom call to Grant?

IronDuke81, I agree that Duquesne's front court has to play much better than in the previous few games. I hope that Dixon is available. Rotroff has been really good at times--like in the last game. I would like to see more Barre and Dixon and less Reece. Hopefully, KD will pull the right levers. A win at Mass would be pretty big here. I watched some of St. Louis and Davidson last night and I agree that this league is up for grabs. If Duquesne can stay hot in the tournament, anything can happen.
