Dukes play the winner of LaSalle vs R.I. on Wed. Good match-up. Then Fordham on Thurs. Third times a charm. Dukes play the winner of LaSalle vs R.I. on Wed. Good match-up. Then Fordham on Thurs. Third times a charm. Fordham lost to GM, Richmond, and R.I. And a sweep by Davidson this year, so there might be some good game-film for the coaches to develop a game plan and player match-ups from those games. All teams in the entire brackets have lost to one or two of their potential opponents? This is how a 6th seated team can win. Tomorrow, start rooting for the best miss-matches for our potential opponents. There are a bunch of them. Too much fun tomorrow. Here’s Ken Pomeroy’s odds for each round of the A10 tourney. He gives the Dukes a 7.2% chance to win the whole thing, 5th best in the conference. I think its 6 conference winners failed to win their conference tourns, so the NIT bids are being swallowed up and its only Tuesday morning. CBI would be our only hope unless we make finals(probably have to win it all), and if Detroit Mercy gets in, and take a legit team's bid(maybe us), I would be pissed, just so that kid can break Pistol Pete's record,. The interview with Joe Reece and Austin Rotroff is well worth watching. It provides a nice insight on where the Dukes are mentally going into the tournament. LaSalle up 15 at the half. Dukes face LaSalle Wed. We get the Explorers. LaSalle ends up with an 18 point victory. Looked really solid at times but vulnerable at others. Nonetheless, they come in confident and Dunphy is a wizard. Dukes better not be looking past them. I don't think Duquesne would look past anyone. These tournaments don't get me upset...even if they go one and done. My belief is if they win, they are good enough and if they lose, they didn't deserve it. Do we have a tip off time for the game? FWIW, Haslam would have the Dukes as 9 point favorites vs either URI/La Salle. And a 1 point favorite vs Fordham.

10. There were lines at the concession stand
9. It took longer to find a parking space in the parking garage
8, It took longer to get out of the parking Garage
7. Dambrot was interviewed on local sports stations
6. There were actually a few articles in the Post-Gazette on Duquesne Basketball
5. No sportscaster used the words “irrelevant” and Duquesne Basketball in the same sentence this year
4. Friends actually asked me how the Dukes were doing
3. The overall attendance increased
2. I didn’t have to beg anyone to go to the game with me
And the number one reason is the Dukes won 20 Games!!!
