4 guards is not enough,we desperately need another guard as insurance against injuries,.one of the 4 guards gets injured and the season is in serious peril.By the end of next season all 4 are going to be tired and the season fades Asking Hronsky to play guard and be that 5th guard is asking too much..He seemed to struggle at being a small forward. He might develop into a good player but too inconsistent and in no way ready to switch to The Canadian kid might be good but he also might not be ready. Counting on a freshman guard is risky business, As mentioned on another thread, they need another guard. Dae Dae and Jimmy Clarke probably played too many minutes last year, and with the current roster they would be on the court pretty much all the time. Kareem is the only PG on the roster at this point other than the freshman Nichols. I’m hoping the coaches have a plan to address the issue. As mentioned on another thread, they need another guard. One guard goes down and we are in serious need of another. Thin at the position even if no one goes down. Can't really imagine that KD and staff are not fully aware of this need and are doing everything possible to meet it. Waiting for the announcement of another point guard. I agree but I can't figure where the scholarship will come from?!? i know there are walk-ons but there are 16 guys on this roster. With the names on the roster I can't see more than 3 walk-ons.... Top assist leaders in the portal - slim pickings. Not to go overboard on this topic, but remember that Quincy was able to eat some minutes at the point last year, especially when Brewer was recovering from surgery. With him gone the options are limited. McGriff and Rozier did things last year as freshman, but Nicholls cant? McGriff and Rozier did things last year as freshman, but Nicholls cant? McGriff was no freshman. He played for a championship the year before in the same league Jimmy Clark did. I wouldn't say Nichols "can't," - I just don't want to rely on him to. Its not ideal to have to rely on freshman, but its also 2023 and part of the game. He doesnt need to be a star day 1, just give a solid 10 minutes per game. When he was healthy for the first time last year he was coming in the game with the walk-ons at the end. Now that there are so many other SF/swingmen on the roster I can't see him making an impact this season. That said, once the competition for playing time starts the cream will rise to the top and if his shot is falling with regularity, he'll play. He just needs to prove it in practice. If I had to pick which scholarship the staff may be identifying to bring in a needed PG...

Come on coaches find us another guard
badly like it has done for Dambrot. The 6-7 small forward sophomore is unlikely making conversion to guard.like someone posted. He will probably struggle at times next year playing small forward..
