7:00pm EST tip on Friday 11/17/2023 at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse, Pittsburgh, PA After careful consideration I've decided we are not going to lose consecutive games this season. So you can put this one in the win column, geeez.... wish you hadn't done that. I'm bringing my wife to a game for first time in couple of years and am hoping you didn't jinx us... After careful consideration I've decided we are not going to lose consecutive games this season. So you can put this one in the win column, It would be nice if we could get that done all season long. We better get it done tonight! Losing to Princeton is one thing, if we lose to Rider any excitement for the season goes out the door. 9 blocks, Dixon with 4 and Barre 3. Expected win Even for the refs? They didn't try to beat the Dukes too much this time? Go figure? Last edited by NapaDuke (11/18/2023 3:13 pm) Another first half that starts 6-1 in team fouls. Maybe I was watching for it extra closely, but it looked to me like I'm not the only one losing patience for it. Dambrot was about as close as one could possibly be without drawing a T. I can't believe he didn't get one haha, but I personally loved it. Be nice if the blocks continue on for the rest of the season. That was really impressive. Solid, methodical win for the Dukes. Overcame some tired legs playing 4th game in 8 days. Don’t forget that Rider was chosen to finish 1st in the MAAC in preseason coaches poll. It would not surprise me that Cleveland St, Princeton and Rider all end up winning their conference and getting NCAA bids. Interesting sidelight in the 2nd half, Foussini Drame drew the ire of Dambrot at one point, seemingly for not following his directions on a play. Was surprised when he physically yanked Foussini while he was still on the court, to get his attention. But all was well when the game ended, as Fosseni came over and gave the coach a reassuring hug. The chemistry seems to be OK.. Last edited by gjgsr (11/18/2023 11:43 am)

We asked for more from the bigs after the last game, and they delivered in a big way defensively. Our rim protection was phenomenal. This team is DEEP. Nicholls is very impressive. Extremely quick and a pest on defense. We still have yet to see Hronsky and Mahorcic, but I can hardly wait to see us at full strength. Great bounce back win after a heartbreaker the other night. Onward!
