Game thread

Where is the Ferry style of attacking the basket? We've picked up where we left off on Saturday, with Colter and White launching threes. Unsuccessfully. And St. Francis looks like it has no one who could challenge us inside.

Re: Game thread

i am going to see real basketball - at the local high school.  All I can say is we stink, nothing else to be said.

This is just so pathetic.  This man can't coach

Re: Game thread

Hey VBC ... Ken Horoho is going to be the Jewel's halftime guest. He was the PG on the Law School IM basketball team with Mike Baggett, Bob DelGrecco, and Tom "The Fool" Newell.

Re: Game thread

The Dukes are playing like an intramural team.

Re: Game thread

Not a good one. Down 10 at the half.

To all the guys who insist that Derrick Colter should start for this team: Watch him some time. He dribbles aimlessly, tries to penetrate, gets stopped, doesn't know what to do.

Re: Game thread

I hope that White and Colter picked up their strap off the court at the half.

Re: Game thread

Desi "Arnez" Ridenour showing us what a PG looks like, leading a DU comeback.

Jerry Jones twice tonight has fouled someone shooting a 3.

Re: Game thread

Well, this game certainly makes me feel better about this team. Course, I've been drinking most of the night.

Indeed, despite the warts.

Next up, a team in its first year in D-1.

Re: Game thread

Well that was better.  Glad I don't have to jump off a bridge.

Re: Game thread

The Dukes perform the easiest of plays with the greatest of difficulty. I take no pleasure in this 2-point win against a 2-7 team. Pathetic.

Re: Game thread

22 of 25 from the line. If we had been our usual selves from the line, this is a loss.

Re: Game thread

Some positives:

. Our guards drove and scored against a zone and scored in 2nd half

.free throws, maybe this team can shoot them after all

. This always is a BIG game for St Francis, they were pumped in first half

. What's this Red Flash stuff, I remember when we called them the Frankie's .

. At this point any win is a big win.

. I  am glad we didn't lose, ;-)

Re: Game thread

We've been hitting FTs. Soko really, really has to finish strong around the iron. I think Ridenour has earned the PG job. White has his streakiest (in a positive sense) night yet. Steve from the P-G tweeted that Micah Mason had his cast off and was clapping his hands. Maybe good to go for UMass Jr.

Re: Game thread

Better to win than lose - but we stink and beat a bad team.  This coaching staff reminds me of the Danny Nee years and staff.  Back then there were 600 fans in attendance and I was one of them.  I won't be this year.
