Re: Sunday Scores

I have been duly watching and rooting for the A10 teams so far. But I'm ready to cut loose the likes of Archie Miller and Travis Ford. Life is too short.

Great post👍St Joes beat Princeton,Temple & Villanova. Clearly impressive. Dukes hope is Dusan coupled with Williams Chabi  & Dixon dominate the joeys on the block. Their coach will be hired at a power 5 next year. Their guards are all world.

Re: Sunday Scores

I’ve been watching Joe’s a bit this season and am very impressed either their team. I saw Reynolds last year when they came to the Coop and saw him again this year vs. Kentucky where they went to OT before losing. He is the best scorer in the A-10 and beyond! He is a pleasure to watch, but they have Lynn Greer as well and at least 2 other guys who can hurt you. They really play well as a team. Unless they have injuries this team can win the A-10. I also saw them take Villanova apart, which was a pleasure to watch!

Re: Sunday Scores

Well, we get Dayton, St Bona and St Joe, 2x each, so can cross that bridge later, but sounds like a chance to make an impression in January and February.

this will be some kind of 3 game stretch

Wow, I didn’t notice that section of the schedule. It will be a real gut check for the guys. The biggest thing is they cannot get too high or too low by tournament time… because in all likeliness the week in Brooklyn will be the only thing that matters

Interesting to compare Ken Pom with the NET Rankings.  They are quite different, unless KP diidn't include games from the weekend.  NET had St.Joe's jumping 18 spots after beating Princeton from 82 to 64.  The Dukes came in at 76.  Dayton was still on top of the A-10, but Mason was quite highly rated at 56.  Bona was slightly ahead of Duquesne by a few spots.  St,. Louis, and URI were the dregs.

I don't know how it translates to NET rankings, but you have to give UC Irvine credit for a challenging road schedule. They lost all their 3 game trip starting with the Dukes, finishing with a heartbreaking 1 point loss at San Diego State (#24 at the time).

Re: Sunday Scores

No A10 hoops all week until Saturday.. but the slate of games on Saturday looks super entertaining. La Salle vs. #24 Miami, Temple vs. VCU, Fordham vs. St. Johns, St. Bonaventure vs. #15 Florida Atlantic, UMass vs. WVU, Dayton vs. Cincinatti, and more. I think I know what my plans are for Saturday.

Re: Sunday Scores

A saw Duquesne sent out an email about A10 game tickets, and mentioned the Dayton game at home, our first A10 home game.   UMass and Loyola wont be pushovers, esp on the road, but hopefully we can be 2-0 in the A10 and the Coop is rocking on a Friday night, on ESPN, vs Dayton!

But first, finish the OOC with 3 more wins.

Purposely didn't mention Saint Louis vs. Louisiana Tech since I thought that was a lesser matchup compared to the ones mentioned, but LA Tech is #43 in NET and #83 in KenPom.
