With all the excitement for this past year and next year’s team, I head to take a minute and marvel at how this program’s proud and relatively ancient legacy met full circle.
If it weren’t for Sid Dambrot playing for the Dukes in the 50’s his son may not have left Akron. I sent a donation to the program in honor of Sid Dambrot and just received the most sincere hand written note from Keith Dambrot in appreciation. I still think there is a book or a movie here somewhere.
I just wish for coach’s sake his Dad could have seen this Championship season. Thanks coach for taking the time to be one hell of a man…you made you Dad and this city proud
