Glad you posted that article. Really good read! Gormley has proven to be a visionary and fine leader.

Great post on what seems to have been a great night for Duquesne. I’m not sure how they publicize it without seeming self-aggrandizing, but the administration should figure out a way.

Gormley has done an impossible job of taking DU way up the ladder of top private schools, and bringing in KD was  just genus.  KD's dad played here, and KD had some very important success here. but KD did more, he brought in Dru, and that was magic. Because of Gormley, our FB program is going up, and, but most important, this year, in NCAA Basketball, Dru can take DU way up like we haven't seen since the mid 60's. Gormley is moving DU up faster than any other Private school in the country.  He's doing stuff you just don't see from a typical guy that comes in and doesn't want to make waves. And, because of him, we now hae Dru, This is historic..

Agree with everything Napa said about Gormley. I’m taking a wait and see view on Dru. I’m optimistic about him, but as of yet still have little to base that on. Gormley’s tenure as president has been little but good  news for the university. I was proud of the university when I graduated in 2004, but even moreso when I see what it has become since. Obviously Dougherty deserves a lot of the credit for those improvements, but I feel like it has kicked up a notch since Gormley took over.
