Has there been, or will there be any music concerts at the Coop? Just read thru a 3 month schedule of shows in the city, and didnt see it listed. The RMU complex is a few times. Just wondering. Last edited by townsonkid (9/18/2024 3:41 pm) It seemed to me that in the early years of Palumbo too many events of all kinds were being held, probably for financial reasons. Anyway, the results were the building and facilities aged quickly. I think there is a much smarter approach with regard to the Coop. A concert now and then would probably be OK.
GOOD LUCK DU WOMEN in NIT

Re: Concerts
Here's a great thread that blew up the other day on the Pittsburgh subreddit full of folks reminiscing about concerts they attended at the Palumbo Center. It is mentioned that Pitt hosting concerts in the Peterson Events Center hurt the venue as they would host similar sized artists. Somebody also says Duquesne wanted out of the concert business. I think it would be cool for the Coop to host some events of that sort but there are many other mid-sized venues now. I mentioned the Peterson Events Center, then there's Stage AE on the North Shore, and even Robert Morris has occasional concerts in their UPMC Events Center.
