I’m surprised to see them calling for a close game and am shocked Bart picks us to win. If the defense plays harder than it has we will win. We also need someone to be the scorer today. Dukes are 2½ point underdogs; O/U 145½ Just signed up with Flo Sports for the month. Thank God A10 signed with espn+ in order to cancel the monthly subscription it’s pure hell. Oh well I can further raise my blood pressure by watching the Dukes play little defense & run AAU offense. 3 days will tell the 2025 season. Hopefully Flo Sports does not screw up the stream. With a Dukes win today, they will play Boise State tomorrow. They will play Hampton with a loss today. First commercial break... Looks like were playing better defense and moving the ball! We gotta get in the paint more and work inside out for the threes... To much hoisting up the three ball, so early in the shot clock... It is painful to watch this team miss so many open shots. How can the remaining 5 guys from last years team regress? Look at the box score. Plus minus, shots, assists & rebounds. Dinkins has to play point. Obviously, nobody sees everyday practice. But after 4 games a blind man including the announcers questioned Edwards shot selection. This is on Coach Dru & his staff. Chemistry is a non factor with the introduction of the new players. I know Dixon, Jake, Nacas, Chabi, Haronski have game. The good news is the majority of Duquesne fans did not see this game or the next 2 remaining AAU games. The Dukes look lost. This team has had two major scorers stand out so far this season. Senior Oscar Cluff is 6'11, 260 pounds, and new to SDST this year after playing his debut season in D1 last year at Washington State. Averaging 17.8 ppg, he is from Sunshine Coat, Queensland, Australia and originally was a JUCO guy. Cluff does not take any 3s, is shooting 67% from the field, 79% from the stripe, and also grabbing 11.4 rebounds a game. His performance will be a determining factor of the game. The second standout is Joe Sayler, a redshirt freshman who averages 16.8 shooting 42.6% from 3 point range. Sayler is a South Dakota local and was even the valedictorian of his high school. He has missed the past two games SDST has played with a foot/ankle injury. Random sources on X state that he was day-to-day and it is not serious. Time for Dukes Basketball 3 days straight!!
