When Tre single handed beat the crap out of VCU his first year, a real coach would have made him the primary player. KD didn't. Dae Dae was very good, but Tre Clark has NBA skills. All that year and the next, he was the set-up man to Dae Dae. If it had been in reverse, Tre would have been in the NBA. He was the best player since Nixon in a Duquesne Uniform. Interesting point, I don’t disagree but never considered it. I do think, and posted regularly about it, that KD was not adept at making potential star players happy. We saw it with Eric Williams at the beginning, a PG whom I’m forgetting his name now, and others. Winning with Jimmy and DAE DAE kind of changed the narrative but not the reality
