Tip-off Saturday 12/14, 6:00 PM EST in Lebron James Arena at St. Vincent - St. Mary High School in Akron, OH. Listen here: Ray Goss says, "first time in 57 years, I can't see the court." apparently somebody has a camera or something streaming in front of the announcers Well if we are looking for the positive it’s good to see the starting five changed Anybody else listening to Ray and Noah? 34-19 at half. Last edited by BluffHunter (12/14/2024 7:00 pm) So far, so good. No word on Jake on the radio but he hasn't played. Lead has shrunk to 6 here. I am pleased. Nice win. Go Dukes! Way to go. Maybe got a little momentum going. 65-47 was the final. All it takes is one. I’d be worried if I was a UC Irvine or Rhode Island coming into the coop. If we lose both, I’ll eat my words, but I think the Druquesne train just got some diesel baby No coincidence that as Edwards’ PT was decreased the team performance improved. Rozier also played closer to a more appropriate amount of minutes. I did not see or listen to the game so not sure how it all played out. I’ll be interested to see how the PT is divided going forward. Getting to the point where decisions need to be made about who is a regular going forward and who is not. I listened to the game. I liked the starting lineup change. Corbett missed early but made up for it later in the game. If he can find his shot it will help. I’m eager to hear if and when Jake is coming back. Sounds like he is dealing with planter issues. He is really needed as his basketball IQ, defense, shooting, passing and play making give the dukes something they desperately need. I was too busy to tune in last night, but was very pleasantly surprised to see the score this morning. Was anybody there? I’d love to have more than a box score to go on to know what was different about last night. Whatever it was was a long time coming, and hopefully continues. It looks like we led wire to wire and pulled away late. We dominated the glass too, getting almost half of our misses. 65 points isn’t going to generate any fanfare, but holding them to 47 is a great sign. Styles, I agree. It appears he finally pulled the plug with Edwards. His "past" was amazing and I think Coach Dru kept giving him time to get that back. It didn't happen. Maybe later in the season it will come back. Sadly, this stuff happens to athletes. Though Drambot often had a starting 7 or 8, it doesn't mean Dru does or that he has that same luxury. I also think Necas has a huge upside that only more playing time will give him. There will be times when Rozier gets hot and will play more. Along with Jake, he does have a high IQ. Trib Article Trib Article Thanks CLK. I guess Mackall was at the game. Impressive👍Did not listen to the game but the box score can shed some light on the players performance and Dru Joyce manipulation of his players. Edwards at this point is the 2024 version of Savrosov. Rozier FG 0-7. 27 minutes but he did have 6 ast. Cut playing time to 15-20 minutes. Necas & Hronsky need more minutes.Necas 4-6 FG & 4 rebounds. Hronsky 3-5 FG 2 rebounds. Dixon struggles on offense as well as Chabi but 6 & 4 rebounds as well as rim protectors very good. Corbett 36 minutes should be reduced. He is not that strong to maintain those minutes. Good news reading Mackalls story is Coach Dru apparently showed some passion in the coaching box. He has to learn the head coach trade before A10 conference play or this will be a long year. Again unlike Mackall I was not at the arena. I didn't get a chance to watch the game. But being picked to loose by one point and win big is a good sign. I like the starting line up. Rozier was likely more effective coming off the bench. 35 minutes for any player is too much and makes them pace themself instead of going all out, so keeping the minutes to 20 plus for any player is better in my view. Necas adds a lot of extra reach for defense and offensive rebounds to start the game. Corbett scores inside and that's important. Crawfortd was a nice move too. I hope to see this lineup in the next game to see if coach found his game.

Re: Game Thread - Towson Tigers (Lebron James Arena)
Still not sold on Barre - I think Dixon has more athletic options but he hasn't been consistent. Dinkins of course and Corbett and Crawford need to learn how to play among the five. At the last home game at the Coop, Necas was trying to help Edwards as he was very down and upset. Probably a combination of not playing much and not doing well when he is in there. He wouldn't be used to this. Interested to see how he handles this change going forward. Dru is also learning that the head coach at times, is the "BAD" guy. He will be the one to keep players out as Dambrot had to. He was the assistant. Everyone loves the back-up quarterback!
Start these next game also and let them get used to each other. Time will tell on what we will or won't see as far as improvement.
