Offline Ask him about the refs in the next press conference. I know he's pissed about them. He was asked postgame by Ray Goss on the radio, he downplayed it and said we will eventually get those calls. If they say too much on the officials they get fined by the A-10. Get fined then. He's making enough and it's probably a drop in the bucket, but have your teams back. So you get fined from a million dollar salary and are only making $980,000. Basic math man. It's worth the fine to speak out get the next call and the next 5 million dollar salary. Basic math man, people don't get it, never will. Offline Necas was clearly missed. It looked like we stopped driving the paint in the second half. Those ally oop passes from pentation just disappeared in the second half. Still close game. Can't win them all. Regroup. This This? Let's hear your take on the game? This? Offline McKillop was Complaining after a Duquesne foul when the Dukes had 6 fouls to their one. He learned from his dad just keep Complaining about the officiating even when your getting all the calls. Coaching Power five schools 101. Nauseating, but it works everytime. I'd be thrown out out of my first game as a coach NO DOUBT. The crap is so obvious. I'd be thrown out out of my first game as a coach NO DOUBT. The crap is so obvious. The calls were questionable all game. Down in the last 3 plus minutes Corbet drove and got fouled with no calls. Still, in the second half, they made 3's off set plays. We didn't. Still a close game. I'd rather have the win, but on the road with a couple of late 3's, we could have won it. Davidson went to the FT line 21 attempts to our 10. They making 16 pts to our 6pts. That's how much the refs affected the outcome in this game. Not a coach who is afraid to lose money. Speak your mind Dru. I think Dru gets it Offline Am I alone here in my thinking that this game was totally taken away from us by the refereeing or are all you folks so used to it that you don't care anymore. This was the worst refereed game I've seen in my 50 years of a fan and you are all just crickets. (profanity) man we are the defending A-10 champions and still getting NO respect. I'm not complacent. I want the Dukes to thrive. I've been on the A-10 sight complaining about the refs, the A-10 Twitter BS sight, emailed the A-10 commissioner, emailed Harper. Got to keep these clowns responsible and that we see them. I don’t believe the refs took the game away. I’m sorry. In the past I have said so when I believed it - in Dayton last season comes to mind - but Saturday it just was not the case in my mind. The 4th foul (or was it the 3rd) on Dixon (the block) certainly looked clean to me, and his 5th, though it probably was a foul by letter of the rule, should have not have called as a make up for the bad fourth call but overall they just called it tight and the Dukes did not adjust. I think the Dukes got a few calls too - especially the continuation call for Corbett on the 3 point play when Davidson did not enjoy the same treatment moments before. Davidson got too many open looks from 3 in the 2nd half and Duquesne did not. That was the difference to me. And Duquesne fouled too many times. The way the Dukes play defense there will be games like this where it will be called tight and they will need to adjust. I’ll say the last 4 games have been pretty loose and the Dukes have benefitted from it. I like it better when the refs let the little stuff go a bit and that was not the case on Saturday. And though there was a disparity in total fouls I did feel it was called, overall, evenly. Online! I had to turn it off at halftime, had something to take care of. Thought we were in good shape and sad to see we ended up losing. What stood out was 3 pts in a combined 58 mins from Dinkins and Rozier. That's eye popping. 2-0 woulda been nice, but get back at it vs Joey this week. There is a 16 game grind ahead, I think the first 6-7 OOC games are behind us now, and we are in a better place, but many games will be close down the stretch. Necas and DiMichele back in there would be so nice(just for FT shooting in those close games). Hoping for the best and a return soon, for them both. If Coach Dru gets fined by the A10 for criticizing the assigned officials you match the fine and donate to the Duquesne NIL fund. Both sides win. And though there was a disparity in total fouls I did feel it was called, overall, evenly. Good post. Never expect the refs to side with your team on the road. That's expected. Nor did they do enough to stop us from winning. Nearly, but not enough. The half time adjustment for Davidson was to stretch the defense out beyond the arch to cut down on our 3 point shots. But, we didn't counter with drives in the paint. Only Corbett. Our two point guards were pushed way back then double-teamed to trap them and that means someone is way open, but, both guards didn't beat the trap and coach didn't have a play for them to the hoop. That's on our coaches. On the road, never expect calls to go our way. Shooting 3's in the second half was not only counter productive, but you don't drawl fouls like driving to the hoop, so the ref's can't call fouls against Davidson with no contact when our Dukes are thowing up bricks from beyound the arch. With that spread defense, the paint was wide open. Oh, and the A-hole, "This" that had a personal attack on my take of the game? I'm still waiting for his less than craneal view of the game? Personal attacks on post should be banned by the administrators. Personal attacks on post should be band by the administrators. Totally agree. Got caught up in the refereeing, but at the same time knew the Dukes were playing right into their hands in the 2nd half. Been ripped on this board so many times by people who claim to "donate to the program" money wise many times over and over when I call out something. It makes you wonder if they really have. I know I have, but that's not the point. Every donation I ever made was done anonymously. Money means nothing to me. I've got a good amount of it and I've contributed probably 40 percent of it a year on charities the last 20 years, so don't need this nonsense from certain posters. Offline Hoping we see some home cooking from the refs against St. Joes Wednesday. Haven't seen too much of it so far at home. A 6-10 record would be extremely difficult to overcome to post a winning season. A 7-9 record would keep us in that chase. GO DUKES!! No. I think he was offered less than KD, but with incentives to match or exceed KD's salary. I would have. I'd still offer that.
