Offline Take a bow Napa. You called it Edwards just showed us what he can do to contribute. Edwards needed this game, and we need Edwards. Great team win. Max can held his head up high. He definitely was part of a great team tonight. Bam you called it Napa. Edwards came up huge and he'll be a key component down the stretch. This team is starting to play like I envisioned before the season started. I believe in Dru and this team and we will be dancing again come A-10 tourney time. Go Dukes! Offline Don't look now but we're one of 4 one loss teams in the A-10. Got the Bonnies and Dayton coming here for the next 2. Protect the home court against 2 teams that will bringing some fans with them. Offline Great call Napa regarding Max Edwards big game. Great stat-line tonight, 8-10 shooting, 3-5 threes, 3-3 from the line and 4-steals! He makes this team much more dangerous. He was brought here to be a key player and scorer for this team. For the Dukes to reach their full potential as a team, Max had to play a big role. Very happy for him. It’s going to give Dru another big guard who can score. Offline UMass at Jackie Johnson's Fordham and in triple overtime. Currently have tied an NCAA record with 8 total players fouled out. 75 total fouls. UMass fouled Fordham taking a buzzer beater half court shot at the end of the first OT up 3. Fordham made all 3 foul shots. Offline UMass at Jackie Johnson's Fordham and in triple overtime. This is also the highest scoring game in Rose Hill Gym's 100 year history. 115-113 Fordham at the moment. Offline UMass at Jackie Johnson's Fordham and in triple overtime. For the Dukes to reach their full potential as a team, Max had to play a big role. Very happy for him. It’s going to give Dru another big guard who can score. Max, leading scorer. I felt all year, he tried too much. Now, I just felt, we needed him at GW to show them, and finally, to himself, why he came here. Very good team win, but even their announcer, stated, Max was the difference. Going forward, I see Edwards, just like Rozier lighting things up off the bench. He's more relaxed and tonight showed what a game changer he can be. The Dukes now are 3-1 in this A-10. This team can win against any A-10 team when they play this well together. Last edited by NapaDuke (Yesterday 9:23 am) Offline I love the way this team is coming together. Everyone wanted to see Edwards play well against his old team, and obviously he did, but it never seemed forced. It was great to see him go down the handshake line getting hugs from probably half of his former teamates and then a big bear hug from Coach Dru at the end. We don't win tonight without him, but it's also a loss if the whole team doesn't do the little things well down the stretch. Offline A10 Standings: Offline Really glad the dukes pulled out this one. The second half the team didn’t move the ball as well. On at least one occasion Dru repeatedly was yelling pass the ball to the team as they were getting back on D. Offline Kudos Napa great call on Edwards performance last night. GW as expected came out strong. Jones from GW very good defender. Castro was a beast. Probably best center in A10. Chabi,Dixon & Corbett tired him out as evidenced by his missed foul shots at the end. This team is soooo deep. Jake yet to get his game legs back for the remainder of the conference schedule. This team seems to be void of a George Pickens. Credit to the players, assistant coaches and Coach Dru. At the beginning of the offseason the season I had doubts about Coach Dru. He stayed calm, figured out the lineups & maintained the course. This week with two home games against Dayton & the Bonnie’s could place the Dukes on a solid top 4 finish in the standings. One final point I noticed the A10 is going to have a weekly podcast with Phil Martelli. Go Dukes. Offline Nice to keep the good vibes going, picking up a road win early in the A10 season is nice too. Interested to see how these next 2 go at home. Need to hold home court. Stack Ws. Students are back by St Bona game, right? They need to show out. Online! Good call on Max, Napa. Dru has done a really good job at calling strategic time outs, switching defenses to disrupt flow and has some designed really good out of bounds plays. Most of all, he has really kept these guys together as a team. Offline Can’t say enough about the progress of this team from coaches to players. Online!
Offline Great clip. GW wasn't an easy team to beat in there house. I just love that Rozier to Edwards dunk. I hope to see that more often this season.

Jimmy's first game against VCU, that first year, he went off script and personally beat them. At the end of last year, someone in the stands from DU said he heard their fans say, can you believe, he was once on our team as we won? Edwards just might, and should, be the difference in this game. This game isn't the season, but a win there right now puts us at 3-1 in the A-10, and that's a very big deal. We have a lot of skill, and every game, someone steps up. It would not supprise me that it's Edwards turn.

Re: Game Thread - George Washington Revolutionaries
This team is very different from last year's, but the attitude is very similar and Dru has to get the credit for that. The team is loaded with unselfish, but very competitive players. That's a tough combination to find, but we've got it up and down the roster. From Dixon asking to come off the bench to Edwards and Rozier never complaining about being sent there, everybody seems willing to do whatever they need to win. The injuries may end up being a blessing in disguise, because it's given everyone a chance to get into the system. We've now had 6 different leading scorers in our 8 wins. You'd think it would make it hard to figure out the rotation when everyone is healthy, but Dru keeps pushing the right buttons. In a close game, his adjustments out of timeouts were huge on both ends, as was foul shooting. I still can't believe we lost to Maine and Howard, but it seems like a totally different team now. In an A-10 that's as good as it's been in a long time, the Dukes look to be one of the best.

The one thing I noticed being there was the dynamic when Rosier and Dinkins were on the court together. Both showed their frustration at least once with one another from not getting looks or passes by the other. This needs to get smoothed out. It was very obvious. I think Jake can help but our guards have to play like a single unit and that isn’t happening. I see a great chemistry and united front across the team and hope this gets remedied quickly.

Happy for Edwards.
Re: Game Thread - George Washington Revolutionaries
Jakub getting his 4th foul and having to sit allowed GW back into the game. Necas is the defensive glue guy that causes the opposition so many problems with his height, reach and quickness. The Dukes were up 12, 58 to 46, with 9:02 to go when Necas went to the bench. In the 6:21 that he was on the bench, GW scored 18 points and cut the Dukes lead to 67-64 with 2:41 to play. GW only scored 1 point the rest of the way.

Re: Game Thread - George Washington Revolutionaries
We are very well balanced and have developed a great chemistry. No 5 star generals just great corporals and infantry playing together.
I am very hopeful that we can continue upwards especially with 2 straight home games against top competition.
I also hope we avoid any more injuries and get Jake back into the mix!
Last year was indeed a truly special season to remember. This one can be too!
Go Dukes!
