Offline When RE was here, DU moved this game to the Pens Arena. I was there and attended an Alumni Assoc. luncheon before the game, ( I like food) but that year the alum sponsored several such events, including bus trips to away games with a meal( I like food). But that game had about 6000 in attendance and those Dayton fans expected to crush us. The Dukes ran all over them. It was great. This year, at the Coop, I think Dayton is going to try like Davidson did, and spread their defense to stop the 3's, but they don't have Holmes. I would not be surprised to see that two man trap on our guards lettings open the paint to drive. I would not be surprised to see Corbett, Hronsky, and Edwards drive the paint and have our bigs clean up the boards for the effort. This is one more team that hasn't run into this tight defense. Eli, Barre, and especially Dixon are likely too much for this years Dayton team. I'm hoping that our fans fill up the Coop tomorrow. At the very least, this brutal weather should make it hurt for the effort. RE's team was on that 11 game winning streak when they beat them, but Ron's team faded in late conf play. Just not enough quality player like this team has to keep up that pace. We can and should win tomorrow, and later in all remaining conf. games, be way stronger than any team with this much talent deep off the bench. This a very well built team. The relationship with North Catholic and Dayton over the years has contributed to the Population of Dayton grads in the area. Offline I'm thinking (hoping) the weather might keep some Dayton fans away. Why? Sell more tickets, make more $$! The Marianist Brothers run both North Catholic and UD. If a student at North Catholic was having trouble getting accepted into college the brothers would find a way to get them into UD. I have a friend who couldn't get accepted into Duquesne out of high school but he got into Dayton then after 2 years of good grades he was able to transfer home to Duquesne. When RE was here, DU also had games at the Consol with Penn State, Xavier, West Virginia, besides Dayton for the gate would be much higher than our 3000 seat home with local alum from those schools showing up. Unfortunately, at that time Pitt quit playing us when we got better than them.
CURRENT RECORD 9 - 10 (4-2 in the A-10)
Dayton fans travel well. Expect a large group of them on game day
