Re: Some Recruiting Targets Names

I don’t know anything about the players on the list but it’s important that they bring in guys who can shoot, both from distance and at the line. They all seem to have pretty good size, so that’s a plus.  Several on the list are seniors, so they would be one year guys.  That can work, but I prefer two year guys.

Re: Some Recruiting Targets Names

I’d love to get a talented player with four years of eligibility left, but I can’t help wondering why he redshirted. There certainly are legitimate reasons, but it so often indicates a problem that I can’t avoid suspicion.

Re: Some Recruiting Targets Names

Your intuition is dead on. He was dismissed from the team on 12/12/24 for violating team policies.

He was always expected to redshirtdue to a knee injury, but got introuble while sitting out.

Re: Some Recruiting Targets Names

If you had to guess what amount we can spend on any one player in the portal, what number would you say?   Is $250K too much?   Can we go higher?    I saw the big time, P5 national names, that we arent in on, are going to get b/w $2.5-3M.   Where do A10 teams stand?  I assume Dayton and VCU are near the top.

Re: Some Recruiting Targets Names

It was fairly common knowledge that VCU gave Shulga in the neighborhood of $750K to come back last season even though he had an offer for $900K to go elsewhere.

We probably won't find out all the details about Larry Johnson's issues, but after seeing how Jimmy Clark III earned some redemption, I'm not inclined to write a young kid off.

Re: Some Recruiting Targets Names

Absolutely, go after him aggressively!  I was just about to bring up Jimmy Clark as an example as well. He had a pretty successful Duquesne career!
