Something to watch on a cold winter night in the 'burgh. Or not. The only college basketball team I have cared to watch or root for over 40+ years is Duquesne. The rest can just kiss m...... Same here. If TJ & Arizona were playing in my back yard, I'd pull down the shade. If you like to watch good basketball, you watch the #1 - 25 teams in the nation. Just a fact. Yes Its the deadhead Bill Walton BUT he was not that far off. I went to the Gary Parrish leaked letter addressed to the board prior to Rons termination. It actually mentioned TJ. If you want a good laugh & then throwup your breakfest read it.This decision will go down as the all time Duquesne classic in mismanagement of the mens basketball team. Since Im pissed off after reading the letter lets talk facts. There will be more people at either the boys MTL USC NA Central Hampton games then the Bonnies game. Blame the students not the individual that caused this mess. If you like to watch good basketball, you watch the #1 - 25 teams in the nation. Just a fact. I never watch 'em. I'm doing my small part to hurt the major conferences by keeping the TV ratings down. If enough people join me, maybe the majors don't get these big TV deals & eventually A-10 teams will get to recruit the same caliber of kids that they recruit. I still say, if Ron didn't recruit TJ, no way he's at Arizona right now. A lot of kids just like TJ played their whole career in DII or DIII, 'cause they never got the chance on a DI court. Look at his states from last night. He's not exactly tearing it up. 5 points - 4 assists - 4 TO's. Pedestrian. I'll take Mason in a heartbeat. TJ might not be at Zona, but he'd have gotten offers from plenty of D1 schools. He had a very good senior year, including playing very well against Philly area schools in the states, and got a lot of late attention. No way would he have had to go D2. Had he waited until spring of his senior year, there would have been many offers. It likely would have depended on how much his school won, as to whether he would have stayed put. If the Dukes had been an NCAA caliber team, he'd have never left here. Or not. The only college basketball team I have cared to watch or root for over 40+ years is Duquesne. Interesting that the announcer (Walton) mentioned on National TV
that TJ was so good, that Duquesne was upset when he transferred so they fired the coach.
